Title: dest_ip based list "with DNS translation support"

Hi,

Using FF+FoxyProxy within an office environment, I would like to see the following enhancement added to this great extension.

Something similar to the "Don't use proxy for local addresses" option as in IE (well, much better in fact).

I need to write a blacklist in order to access the internal http servers.
There is no pattern in these server's names.
So I wrote a blacklist absed on the IP addresses of thes servers : they're all on the same subnet : say 192.168.1.0
But as you can guess, it is of no great help, because what I type in the URL is not the address, but the name of the server. And then the IP-based blacklist is not used.

So here is my feature suggestion : either of :

- given a "Don't use proxy for local addresses" option activated :
The user types in a name-based URL. FoxyProxy (or FF) makes a first DNS lookup, and if the ip address returned matches the local subnet, then don't use the proxy.

- given a ip-based blacklist, + eventually a "reverse DNS conversion" option activated :
The user types in a name-based URL. FoxyProxy (or FF) makes a first DNS lookup, and if the ip address returned matches the ip-based blacklist, then don't use the proxy.

What do you think of it ?

You can already do this with FoxyProxy. Just access your internal http servers with a fully-qualified domain name. IOW, instead of http://foo and http://localhost, access them as http://foo.mydomain.com and http://localhost.mydomain.com. Create a blacklist rule in foxyproxy for *.mydomain.com*

Well, Generally I like my computer or programs to automate things for me.

Typing the entire fqdn each time I need to access a server is not what I want. I'm not lazy, just a typical computer user :-)

By the way, FF can do this trick on it's own. No need for FoxyProxy on this topic.

IE does it. Why not FF or FoxyProxy ?

OK, I'll add it in a future release.

Hello,

I've seen the new version. Very Good.

When do think you will have time to implement this one ?

I don't know yet. There are other features that have priority.
