When the great King Norlim stepped up to the throne in the well known city of Atlantica, it was said that he accepted his position as the King of the Seven seas, and made his home in the heart of the Atlantic ocean with humble dignity. He was the fairest ruler the seas had seen in some time since he'd banished the evil seawitch Dianneous to the farthest reaches of the sea. And despite the fact that a well kept sense of peace had settled over the seven ocean realms, Norlim secrely plotted.

Fearing greatly for the day when the peace of the seas would be shattered.

And for several years the peace lasted and many of the sea kingdom had lost their own fears, frolicing in the fact that they seemed to finally enjoy the beauty their sea kingdom brought. But the kings fears of the peace shattering were not ill-placed and as suddenly as the wind changing; a terrible storm caused by the sea-witch the king had banished almost twenty years ago, destoryed everything the sea folk had held dear. Kingdoms were ruined, lives were lost including the life of the young Prince Caspian who was the direct heir to Norlim's legacy. While the young Prince's disappearance was odd, and was never explain the sea kingdom came too accept that he had been just another victim to the seawitch's ongoing war against the crown. And when the seawitch finally pulled into the humans to the war, selecting a few who could be lured into her own plot and eventually turned the civil ocean war into a tension filled battle between the land and the sea.

And while Norlim had a large distrust of the human who lived in the world above he saw to reason as to why the two seperate entities could not live on their own and keep to themselves. And so it was not until the oppertunity presented itself, that King Norlim took matters into his own hands declared that the world above was off limits to those under his rule.

But fate would again turn its had against the sea King and those who made their homes on the land when it became revealed that the young Prince who had once thought to have perished in the storm had acutally washed up on sea, unexpeactly forcing himself into the human world for the time until he came of age. Only then would the young Prince revert back to his former self and be able to survive back in the sea again. As any mermaid who walked ashore before them came of a certian age would loose their mermaid/merman heritage and traits. They would instead walk through the human world, live lives as the humans might... until the time was right. When they came of age, the process would reverse itself and they would return to the sea as it was meant to be.

It has now been almost eighteen years since the day Norlim made the treaty with the human world. The past history has been lost in the human world, but for a few scattered people they remember just what happened and they take to the treaty as if it where a life line. However a group of merfolk, with royal blood in them made the mistake of conversing with the young Prince before his true self was revealled and the King took this as an act of war from the land above as the two kingdoms had agreed to never be part of the others world again.

This is where it all begins.
