Good idea with the thread, Megi. I already posted some of these ideas, but now lets put them all in one place: - I'll send PMs to people from Brian Joubert Discussion Groups - recently there was a poll for other favorite skaters and Evan was pointed a few times, so I can PM those people who chose him and tell them about our forum, - I know there is a thread about Evan on FSVideos forum, but I'd be a bit ashamed to post there as I don't really participate in it (my slow internet connection doesn't allow me to upload files so I act rather as an observer there :ph43r: ), - once I found Evan's fanlisting in the internet so I can look through it and send e-mails to some people letting them know about us, -I'm a bit afraid at this point since I'm one of the new members of FSU and haven't made myself comfortable there yet, but maybe we could give them a link (but I really don't know; what do you think?) - I was also thinking about writing a message about our Forum on the Yahoo Group since there are over 40 members and if someone puts it in the message section, the chance of people to see it is bigger (Qian, what do you think about it?), -finally - I'll invite my friends who like figure skating (most of them are B'Jou fans, but many also like Evan).
Well, I'd like to hear your opinion about it. Generally, the big problem is the fact it's really hard to find this forum. I mean, I was looking for over a week and searched the net with Google - nothing . Finally, after a conversation with a girl from BJDG who suggested me looking for a Yahoo group about Evan I did it and then, at last, I found a link. But why Google didn't lead me here remains a mystery...

Edit - Megi, maybe you could put a link at Absolute Skating? I registered there a few weeks ago and promised myslef that as soon as I find the time I'll be active there, but looks like that day hasn't come yet... ;)

| QUOTE (Melody @ Apr 16 2006, 05:43 AM) | Hi, I just joined.
How about starting Evan Fan groups in sites such as Xanga, MySpace, Yahoo or msn? I believe some people may search in those places, and if we provide a link for them they can find this site easily.
Posting on bigger forums will help too. FSVids, FSU were mentioned, what about GoldenSkate? I post there sometimes and I could leave a link there.
P.S. I just noticed that this board was founded in January, but I've been trying to look for Evan fan forums like these for a while and turned up no search results. So I do believe that lots of people will be excited to join if they can only find this great site :) |

Exactly, I had the same situation!
I think Qian already added us to Golden Skate. I believe we can edit Wikipedia entries and include a link there (I can take care of the Polish, German and French version since I'm able to write smth in these languages ;) ). Megi, thanks for what you did! I think it's already helping. :D
