A google search of the Letterman Show now shows he won't be on until Tuesday, Mar. 2. To be safe, I'm watching both times. :)

On Letterman, here are articles.

He will appear at The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Mar. 5.

Here is a video of cast announcement of Dancing With The Stars.

I wonder if it will be possible to attend at both of that and SOI shows.
I have heard about the TV show, but have never watched it. Does he need some dance lessons for it? Or just appear at the show and dance as possible?

It's one of those voting shows. He had to do dance training during the week, perform dance on Mondays, then do results show on Tuesdays. I have mixed feelings about this for selfish reasons. On the one hand I think its awesome to see him on DWTS and was wanting to see this, just not right now b/c it will interfere with at least some of the SOI shows. My show is on a Tuesday so I am pretty much out of luck unless Evan is voted off earlier (which of course I definitely don't want) I will be voting for him. I wish it the schedules didn't conflict in such a way. Oh well now that he is on this season, must make him win!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

I agree Monica I have mixed feelings about this too. I'm glad he's doing the show but I wish he had waited until next season. It will be awesome to see him on there but on the other hand I feel bad for those like you that have tickets to SOI on dates he will be doing Dancing. Thankfully my date May 8 in Chicago shouldn't be affected as it's on a Saturday but my worry is if he would get hurt rehearsing the dances for the show then he would be off the tour completely. I certainly hope not but there's always that chance. Just like Misty May Trainor the Olympic volleyball player who got hurt really bad & had to pull out. Just hope that with all of Evan's working out & everything else that he will be ok with the dancing. But whatever I of course will be voting for Evan no matter how well he does & will be nervous every week that he is on. I hope he does well & goes far.

Thank you, Monica. :thankyou:
I'd been wondering why his appearance schedule had disappeared on SOI site. I'm sorry for you if you miss his SOI appearance.
I have never seen him dance on the floor, but (I'm sorry to say this) I believe he should be much greater on ice. ;)

He is on the show site.

I suspect that his appearance schedule on the SOI might be updatef in the next couple days now that it's been announcef that he's doing Dancing With The Stars. I went through the schedule & if he's missing the dates of the tour Sunday through Tuesday to do Dancing then he's only missing 14 of the 41 dates scheduled so he's still doing a good chunk of the tour. But it's a shame for those who have tickets on those 14 dates now that he's not doing it them. I would be heart broken too if it was me. It's going to be great watching him every week on Dancing though & to see a different side of him that we don't see too often. I hope he does well & I will be voting for him every week. It's one of my favorite shows although not too keen about the rest of the cast except for Evan.

And for anyone that is wondering Evan's appearance on Today show this week will be on Thurs. March 4. So plenty of Evan this week besides being on E.T., Extra & all those other entertainment shows today about DWTS.

Thanks for the reminder Dawn. I'll miss the Access Hollywood, ET etc stuff tonight, but they usually have those on website videos.

Remember also he'll be doing the Top Ten list on Letterman tonight!

I remember that. Hopefully that should be towards the beginning of his show because I want to want Jay Leno. I think tonight is when he has Shaun White on. I am watching Extra right now. They just had a short piece on DWTS with some quick pieces of Evan. They also had Johnny Weir on there also for some other things.

Thank you Casa, Dawn and Mary! Dawn, I won't be able to watch most of these, is there anything special or interesting?

From MTV's preview:

It's pretty obvious that Olympic gold medal figure skater Evan Lysacek is going to run away with this thing. Athletes always have the upper hand, and Olympic athletes have had extraordinary success (past winners include Apolo Ohno, Shawn Johnson and Kristi Yamaguchi — all of whom have gold medals).

Evan got 59% of the vote as the predicted winner according to TV guide's poll! :1st: No pressure Evan! :cheer:

I think he's the youngest contender this season, am I right?

I'm with Monica, we must make him WIN!!! :1st:

You're welcome. You might be able to see some of the footage on www.etonline.com, www.accesshollywood.com & www.extratv.com & when Dancing starts after the shows airs you can watch the episodes on www.abc.com

Some of those entertainment shows have predicted that Evan is going to make it to the top 2 or be the winner. It would be nice if he won but I don't know. In my honest opinion I think he will make it to the half way point for sure but then it's going to be tough after that but I guess we will see. It depends on how he does on some of the more latin type dances. Maybe he will surprise us. It's going to be fun though watching the rehearsals & all the other things leading up to the show every week & getting to know Evan a little better away from the ice. Oh the on E.T. when they talked to him a second he said it was going to be hard for him because he's going to have to spin the opposite way from what he does on the ice.

And yes Evan is the youngest contender this season at 24.
