NBC has planned for quite some time to show the New York Marathon on Sunday, which is the reason they cannot air Cup of China. I assure you that it's nothing personal against Evan or anyone else competing in Beijing.

Thanks for the information. I never thought it was personal, but still think it's rather short sighted of them with the Olympics coverage on their schedule coming up. From this skating fan's point of view, it's pretty lame - I can't get excited about watching people run on the streets for hours - anymore than I could DO it, but I do have to give them credit. Has to be amazingly grinding work to attempt it at all.

Still it's about as exciting to me as watching grass grow or paint dry when I could be watching some sizzling action on the ice. Prefer TV coverage when I can get it but at least I have Icenetwork to fall back on. Will be watching live!

Ohhh, that's why NBC isn't showng COC.

Well, I happen to be a runner and have run several marathons and I'm actually excited about NYCM because one of my running idols, Paula Radcliffe, will be aiming to win her fourth title.

However, I totally understand and agree in large part with Mary. Marathon running is not exactly the spectator-friendly sport that figure skating is and, to be honest, I would MUCH rather prefer NBC show COC, especially with it being an Olympic year.

Thanks Jamie. That made me feel better, although I agree with Mary that Marathon is so boring to watch comparing to figure skating. :P

Ellen is really athletic, good for you!
