Evan is one of the cover skaters of the GPS guide book.
I read this book and there is an article about him. There isn't so special or new information, but it says that Evan practiced his EX "Turandot" (vocal version) in summer. It doesn't say when he did it. I have never seen this program yet, and even don't know if he decided to use this actually.

Great to have this all in one place. Thanks casa!! Is there a time schedule for Cup of China posted anywhere yet? I plan to watch on Icenetwork live, and don't want to miss anything.

Turandot eh? Will have to refresh my memory on this one. youtube here I come?

ETA: When I went to youtube and searched "Turandot", the fist thing that came up was Nessun Dorma - which I later found out is an aria from the final act of the Puccini opera "Turandot" so off I went to Wikipedia.

>>HERE<< is what I found out.

So I wonder if it really will be Nessun Dorma or one of the others. I for one am excited about this possiblity. I think it complements Scherazade - at least the stories seem to do so to me. I'll be glad ato see an EX that showcases his lyrical side after the awesome and fun "hip" numbers he's done the last two seasons. Also in an interview, I can't remember which one or where I saw it, when asked if there was something he'd change/add to figure skating/judging he said he'd like to see Lyrics allowed for all disciplines. The last classical one with lyrics I remember him doing was the "Tosca" vocal at Cup of China EX the last time he was there. This should be a great one.

Oh my he sure is keeping us in suspense. Gotta  it! Good thing Cup of China is getting closer and closer. The suspense is killing me.

I just looked on both the IceNetwork schedule for TV & our local TV station schedule & Cup Of China is not being shown on NBC. It's the only Grand Prix event that won't be on that network which I don't understand why as they are carrying all the others. Universal Sports is carrying it but we don't get that on our satellite dish so I'm out of luck. And I'm not sure if I want to get a subscription to Icenetwork to watch it on there or not. Kind of sucks as I was hoping to watch Evan on TV again soon but I guess will have to watch it on the net. Bummer!

Ahhh, I thought so. Thanks, Sk8tinglvr.

Well, looks like someone will hopefully tape Evan's performances and post them here? If that's possible...

You're welcome. I know someone will come through with video so we can see it. I just wish it was on NBC so I could watch it on a normal TV.

Well, I expected awful hours, but not 4:10 AM!!

Possibly, rather than set my alarm, I will just do one of my all nighters. I am so good at doing those. Much easier for me to just stay up than to get up once I am asleep. I don't know how my husband is going to like our whooping and screaming, but tough bananas to him. This is Evan, so we go all out!!

I can hardly wait!!! Is it OK to celebrate with martinis and cheesecake at 6AM? :drunk:

That's 2:45am and 1:10am in Pacific time zone! What an awful time! Poor babe.

I hope Evan can stay alert and the jet leg won't bother him too much.

Regarding the broadcasting:

Bad news: NBC will broadcast all the GP events except Cup of China. :(

Among the 5 GP events, 4 of them will be 2hr of taped highlights, but for Skate America, they'll broadcast Ladie's free skate live, so my guess is that we won't see anything other than ladies unless Evan wins the gold (cross my fingers). :1st:

Good news: Universal Sports will broadcast COC from Thur through Sunday. They'll also have full coverage of SA.

Universal Sports Figure Skating Schedule

But there's no information about the specific time.

Thanks Casa for the great news, Turandot will be a superb EX for Evan, I've wanted him to skate to it ever since I became a fan! :cheer: B/C that's a perfect number for the Olympic Champion! :1st:

p.s. Mary, I'll send my greeting message to you after COC, I want to see his programs first, that'll give me some inspiration.

Sunny,

What they did last year for the "LIVE" broadcast of ladies at SA was show some men/and maybe pairs, don't remember - highlights the first hour and do the second flight of ladies actually live. No telling what they'll do this time. I'll be in Lake Placid so will tape what they show and take what I get.

As for Universal: GREAT coverage but doesn't help me at all as my cable doesn't offer it. So Icenetwork for me and falling on the mercy of videomakers!

ITA agree about Turandot!! I too have hoped he'd skate to it. Perfect for the Olympic season/champ.

Sounds like a plan re: SA message. Evan always inspires. These programs are going to be off the charts! I feel it in my heart - and my bones!

Whatever works best for you. :)

Probably not good for the martini's at that hour - or any hour for me - I'll substitute my Cran-Raspberry juice! I'm always good for cheesecake.

I'm not sure whether this helps you, but this is an IFS article that shows broadcasting schedule of NBC and Universal Sports.

As for myself, no TV broadcasting of CoC is on Friday in my country. I'm wondering if I can watch it on any online broadcasting.
