I read some really nasty and stupid comments about Evan beeing on Who wants to be a millionaire! I'm not able to see TV from the States and what I read Evan could not really concentrate and asked the audience after the first question and didn't know who Truman Capote was!

I don't know if that is true, if it is, sorry for him! I guess he really has his had full of training! Maybe he shouldn't do that but as we all know he tried to help!

Anybody who saw it and knows more???? Sorry to bring up a less exiting topic here!

It was really exciting when Evan did that show - I was super nervous for him! You can watch it on Youtube:

I was so proud of him - stepping so far out of his comfort zone for such a great cause. He's always said that one of the most important things about his sports successes has been a larger platform from which to help charities everywhere.

Bah-humbug to those who made fun of such courage. Pay no attention. I'm sure you'll enjoy watching. He was so concerned about wanting to win as much as possible and not take wild chances with the money.

Thanks all for the informations and links! :thankyou:

All these negative comments, I had the impression that Evan might have been in an embarrassing situation that was very painful for him and embarrassing! That can easilier happen, even if you Einstein! What I read here now, it was not at all well! :hide:

I was a little worried, a situation like this I hope for no one!

I'm also one rare of those people who don't like this show at all! Never! No chance, I don't know why! Maybe because our host here is so laborious....

Oh I know now where you read those comments. Listen, if Evan were to rescue two kids from a burning building those people would still leave nasty comments!

Exactly! As my dear dad used to tell me, "Ignore the idiots"!

Evan's nerves got the best of him right at the beginning, imo, but I actually thought he did quite well and was very proud of him!

What I remember from that show is that he wasn't quite sure who Rocky and Bullwinkle were, but he liked the ad campaign for Absolut Vodka! Meredith asked him if he had missed out on cartoons as a kid and he said he had because of skating. That is one thing people should remember. Elite skaters spend so much of their time training, that not much time is left for little else.
