remus says: "Ah I remember when James first started mooning over Lily here. Around that time, I also remember her scolding James for something he and Sirius did back on the train in our first year. Truthfully, it was a little funny, but I usually don't say as much to her. I didn't think much of it back then and I had known enough to respect her, unlike him, as he was just trying to get her as his girlfriend. Although Lily has a bit of a temper, she's a good friend when it comes down to it. We were both prefects in our fifth year and now she's the Head Girl, and although this is so, she's still a good friend, although she, like Dumbledore probably wishes I could exercise more control over my friends, though it may not be likely that this would happan any time soon."

lily says: "Remus and I have had a strange relationship one of ups and downs to say the least. Once we became prefects together I got to know him much better but before that, I am not going to lie, my opinion of him wasn't that great. I think it was the sphere of influence cast by not only my shoddy opinion of James but of Sirius as well that tarnished any chance we had at ever really getting to know one another properly. But the glorious thing about being prefects has to be the late night patrols. When you spend five or six hours walking around dark and deserted hallways once or twice a week you tend to learn a lot about a person. I realized Remus is actually a pretty terrific guy and we had a lot in common. Patrols solidified our friendship. Sometimes things just happen and you have lengthy random conversations. Remus was usually pretty loyal to James if he ever came up and stood up for him when he felt it was necessary, but for the most part we skated around the issue. . Even when I found out about his, how does Jame put it... oh yes, his "furry little problem" it never effected how I felt about him. Remus is a great guy and I am glad I have gotten to know him."

james says: "I have been in love with Lily Evans since I was twelve years old. The marauders have tried to tell me that it's just a crush and I'll get over it... but they don't understand. I honestly, truly, love her... I love everything about her! She's the most beautiful girl in hogwarts and I would be perfectly happy (ecstatic, really) to spend the rest of my life with her. People think I just like the chase... but merlin, that's a lie. I hate the chase! Getting turned down by Lily (sometimes multiple times a day) was like torture. I didn't understand why she hated me so much. But, since I was all in love with her and such, I decided to change for her. I was there for her when her mum died, and we became best friends, and I haven't asked her out once since. I still want to, but she's made it very obvious that she doesn't want to be with me, and I don't want to annoy her any longer, so I've settled with just being her really great friend, because it's better than nothing, right? Even if my heart basically breaks every time I'm with her... it's okay, hopefully I'll get over it eventually... she's my best friend, and she'll never be my girlfriend. Which is... totally fine! Yea..."

lily says: "James has been driving me nuts since before we even reached Hogwarts. When I wandered into his compartment on the Hogwarts Express it was pretty much instant fireworks, and not the good kind. We clashed instantly and I left with Severus in a huff. Imagine my surprise when not only were we all in the same house but je kept trying to talk to me! For the first year or two it was harmless and I tolderated him in an annoying pre-adolescent way, but once teenage years hit it was almost catastrophic. Imagine being asked out by someone every day for about four years and you have my Hogwarts experience. Sometimes he'd even ask me multiple times a day! I honestly could not stand him third through most of sixth year. He annoyed the hell out of me with his arrogance and his inability to resist being a show off. But once my mum died... he was the first person that was there for me. I was surprised, James just sat with me and we talked most of that first night I was back in the castle. Oddity of oddities, we became friends that night. Once James stopped asking me out all the time and really talked to me I found a wonderful friend in him. Now almost a year later I consider him one of my best friends. And wouldn't you know it I might um.. have a tiny bit of a major crush on him. Merlin. What are the odds of that?! He has seemingly moved on from being almost in love with me to being content with being my friend and now I have feelings for him. I am such an idiot. But I won't say anything, I'd probably just get a noogie and an I told you so and that would be the end of it. Maybe I don''t know. Ugh."
