from Tuesday night's Daily Show. The second video is particularly spectacular when it reaches the "support our troops" issue. I have no respect for the man he's interviewing any more. (The segement is cut into two parts, so watch the first link, then the second)

I used to have a lot of respect for McCain. I really did. I disagreed with nearly every position he espoused but I respected him.

Not so, now.

Never thought I'd hear McCain sound like Bush.

I never thought I'd see the day McCain fell victim to the GOPs every whim.

Oh well. Back to working on Romney's campaign as a volunteer.

if you're going to support a republican, please let it be Mike Huckabee. He was quite the pleasant surprise on the Daily Show back in January. Thoughtful, articulate, and clearly living in reality.

I'm not going to lie when I say the reason I'm working on his campaign is because he shares the same religion I do, as well as many of the same beliefs as I do. Granted, most of society seems to believe my beliefs are screwed up, but Romney shares them. Therefore, I work for him.

Romney is apparently under delusions that no one is going to remember all his previous campaigns.....he brings flip flop to a whole new level. And this flap over his "hunting" credential. It screams "I'm desperate to paint myself as a down home blue collar guy and I'm willing to lie to do so."

He already knows he'll be under scrutiny for his previous campaigns.

The only delusion he's under is that his religion won't get in the way of his campaign. He'll never get elected because of it, not because of his past political choices. I'm involved with his campaign because I want to do my own little part to promote religious tolerance.

Romney ran as a pro-choice candidate in Mass. He can change his mind all he wants but that alone can sink him if someone points it out hard enough.

That's why I don't put any stock into pre-convention politics. Every candidate has to go as far right/left as possible before the convention in order to get the ticket nod. Candidates have to whore themselves out in order to please their party, but not necessarily the people (see John McCain).

I like Romney because he's got a moderate stance on abortion, gay marriage, and many other issues. Unfortunately, if he's honest about that now, he'll never get the ticket nod. I can't say I blame him, after all, in pre-convention politics, honesty is rewarded by being blacklisted by your own party.

So wait a minute...is this discussion about Jon Stewart or Mitt Romney? Or both?
