Hi everyone! I knew this place for a long time and I've read most of the Fan-Fics but I just decided to join. ^^ Pilots have always been my favorite characters, especially Wedge, so it's so good to read more and more fan-fictions about the Fab Four! (Despite the fact that I used to love angst ones and, then, it makes me sad -I'm not normal, I think. [face_whistling].gif )
Oh, I'm 18 years old and I'm from France. Unfortunately, there're not many fan-fics about them in french (I have to translate mine by the way, so I'll be able to post it here ^^)
What else could I say? I love making slideshows (I've made a few ones about the pilots -well, when Youtube is not deleting mine due to some annoying copyright issues...), drawing and costuming (I really became very obsessed with coslays. ^-^)
So, I think that's all. ^^

(Oh and sorry for the english mistakes I could make. unsure.gif)

bonjour, Saria! Je suis RedBirdie, et je parle francais, mal.

Ok, that's about the extent of my French! I'm much better at translating from French to English (but still not all that good)

Where in France do you live? We have a lively international group here, although you may be our first from France.

Rogues have fans all over the world! ^^
I live in Bretagne (Brittany), in a city called Nantes in the west of France. And your sentence was good, don't worry! [face_wink].gif

oooh, I've always wanted to visit Brittany! Actually, all of France. I really want to go to Avignon and see the disaster that is the Palace of the Popes.

First, Welcome to Downtime! Second, great avatar!! Love Denis...

Went to your site and read your stories "Mourning Celebration" & "Son of Alderaan". I really enjoyed "Mourning Celebration". You need to post it here on Downtime. You've really got Hobbie's feelings right and Wedge's feeling of being shamed for leaving the Trench.

Enjoy Downtime!

Ooh thank you! I'm really happy you enjoyed it! Writing Hobbie is very very interesting and I think it's not going to be the last FF with his point of view. ^^
(And I have also a sort of "Wedge's survivor guilt mania". I really like writing about this type of feelings. [face_happy].gif )

Salut, Saria.

I'm sorry it took me so long to notice your post. As you might recogize from my shiny colours I'm one of the mods around here. So if you should have any questions, I'm just a pm away. Actually I would say I'm maybe closest to you. I'm from Germany. Maybe Corellia's Dream is closer though, as you live quite close to England. [face_wink].gif

The Bretagne is such a beautiful region to live in. Me and my family used to go camping there every summer. [face_happy].gif And one of my cousins lives there.

That said, I hope you enjoy your stay here.

Hello, and welcome. I'm another of your European neighbours. It's great to see new members here, especially Denis/Wedge fans biggrin.gif

I'll have to have a look for your fics,Poor Wedge must wrestle with one of the strongest cases of survivor's guilt i the galaxy - pulling out of the Death Star trench wasn't even the start of it. Not being able to do anything to help his parents must have left him feeling terrible. Thank goodness he meets Iella and eventually has his family to help him cope. At the start of SOA. he was feeling pretty empty.

Hello, I'm 'mira, a 17-year-old Finnish-American student/drama-geek/music-lover/book-worm.
Long story short, I found a copy of one of the X-wing books in the darkest corners of some library, got hooked on the series, got frustrated because I could only find about half of the series in my hometown, was forced to read 'good' literature for a few years, then stumbled in to a pitch black corner of a mall to find a small fantasy/sci-fi store... which sold X-wing books 8D So I've been re-hooked to the series. And since I had been introduced to the world of fan-fiction by then, I just couldn't stay away from this site. So after, what, three or four months of reading and then reading some more, I decided that it just might be an appropriate time to start posting! And now that I've written this down, I noticed that it wasn't that short of a story xP

I've written some fan-fiction for another fandom of mine, Kingdom Hearts, but no pilot-fics yet. I just don't seem to have enough energy/enthusiasm to write during school years, despite about ten plot-bunnies running across my head during the day. So no fics from me for a while ^^'' (and don't worry people, usually my writing is about ten times better when I actually put some thought in to it)

So, with that said, I'm off to do some more reading! ~'mira

I don't feel I rate starting a new topic in this forum, but wanted to say hello anyway.

Newbie to forum fanfic, but not new at all to fanfic in general or Star Wars. I always seem to find tons of great stories after they are all left hanging in WIP-land though. I originally found this place because of a livejournal of X-Wing fanfic, and I've been reading all of the fic in the PG-13 area (and so many haven't been finished!).

I am now searching for info on how to get the password to the adult area of fic; I was born in the year that A New Hope was in the theatres, so I'm hardly going to be corrupted by anything I see there, I promise.

I'm a Wes and Hobbie fangirl; reading the X-Wing books has made me want to read more fic that actually features the two of them as being more than just comic relief.

Hello, Nice to see someone new here. It's been rather quiet of late, but please don't let that put you off. Comment on anything and everything you like.

And especially, don't feel that any fic is too old to bother commenting on, Authors always like to hear what people think of their work. All my stories are complete and you can search via the author index, which is a sticky post in the Lounge.

As for the Adult lounge password, I think you need to pm one of the mods for that. I recommend Durell, who checks in regularly.

Welcome !

Hey, Welcome!

Like you, I seem to find great stories that are WIP which drives me nuts as there is a real lack of pilot fic out there. But by commenting on these fics might give the author a nudge to continue and complete them!

Hope you do enjoy reading the completed and uncompleted works here. We have some really talented writers who understand the Fab 4 and all the characters of SW very well.

Enjoy!
