He's menacing, powerful, dark, and myterious, albiet less so than he used to be. I can understand how he's seen as a Tragic Hero, but he is still evil, even though he never meant to be. The voice, the breathing, the very aperance all create one of the most powerful and sinister characters of all time. Sorry I didn't put an other catagory.

And Vader really became a tragic figure instead of a true villain. I haven't read Thrawn yet, so that left me with Iceheart, who does have villain qualities.

I suppose what got my attention was that Thrawn was sort of the 'Anti-villian.' He didn't come across as pure, unadulterated evil. He was cultured, and had a brilliant mind. Call me crazy, but I liked Thrawn more than Palpatine and Vader as a villian.

As for Vader, when I first watched RotJ, I couldn't classify him as a villain any longer. The whole scene with him and Luke when he dies...yeah, it made me cry.
