Interesting... you know what would make an interesting collaboration? NASA and something like... what is that big database tech company? Oracle? It's sorta on the same lines as Google, only more significant, I think.

What?! Nothing can be more significant then teh google! :p
Goodgle looks like it will be a juggernot in the next decade.

Oracle makes database software, yes. Arguably the best database softare in existence... and they're already in bed with NASA ;)
Jesina Dreis - October 1, 2005 04:22 AM (GMT)
Okay. Well, that's cool then.
Thank you, Arin. :p
Valin_Halcyon - October 1, 2005 04:22 AM (GMT)
This is the first step in google's plan to destroy all data it can't indes. :p
In all seriousness, this is cool. I'll be able to see a google building once a week.
Arin Atona - October 1, 2005 04:24 AM (GMT)
Google probably uses Oracle, too ;)
There are only two real contenders in the distributed DBMS market: Microsoft (SQL Server) and Oracle.
Jesina Dreis - October 1, 2005 04:29 AM (GMT)
That's true, Arin. I don't understand the rest of what you said.
Google ought to index DownTime :p
