As I'm just about to start Chapter 3, the issue of balance is coming up.
My instinct has always been that I should attempt to balance the two sides so each world/character gets equal share of the comic.
The thing is, Ulala/1999 has more ground to cover, DMC taking after all many hours to complete and SC5 only one. It's also easier/more fun to write, at least at the moment.
So I'm curious to see what people think about the two sides. Let me know, and possibly influence the balance as the comic develops!
The only relevant thing I can bring to this is that Ulala's side's gonna have more chance for dialogue.
There's only so many variations of up down left right chu hey hey before Dante goes Devil Trigger and starts breakdancing freestyle.
The funny thing about that is originally Ulala was going to really struggle to have dialogue - that's why I set her up with Nevan and a camerabot!
In the SC5 universe the plan is to expand on the bits between dance-offs and reduce the amount of dancing you see to try to avoid too much chu-age. It is a tricky one though.
