Confused and Alone, <tag:open>

"I'm not hallucinating, and you promised you wouldn't put yourself down anymore" Maddie replied with mock annoyance. She kissed Ron's cheek again to let him know that she wasn't really annoyed at him.

She laughed as Ron talked about the impending dance practise and what a disaster it could end up being.

"I'd really like it if you walked me to my dorm" Maddie answered with a smile. "And hopefully the stairs won't play tricks on you...then again if they do it will be quite funny...for me that is" she added with a wink.

Ron grinned, slipping his arms round Maddie's waist to lift her with him as he stood up. He laced his fingers with hers, leading her to the stairs.

'Well, we'll give it a go. I still think its incredibly unfair that you girls can just waltz right in to our dormitories, but if we try and get near yours to borrow a book the stairs turn into a death-trap.'

He winked, cheeky grin firmly in place making him look like a younger version of Fred or George. 'I mean, there we are all tucked up asleep and any girl could just wander in and take advantage of our innocent slumber. I'll bet that's why I keep losing my quills. Hermione probably nicks them, she always seems to have loads...'

Maddie followed Ron to the stairs before saying "Maybe the girl's are allowed to walk into your dorms because we can actually be trusted not to take advantage...well some of us can anyway" she grinned.

"Plus i'm sure you won't lose any sleep over the prospect of a girl walking into your dorm room and taking advantage of your 'innocent slumber' as you put it, in fact i bet you actually enjoy the prospect of Hermione creeping into your room while you sleep" Maddie winked and laughed. "Don't worry, i'm just teasing" she said squeezing Ron's hand affectionately.

"Right let's give this a go" she added taking the first few steps towards the dorms...
