Hi, My name is Angie and I have just rescued a 10 week old deaf Bull Terrier puppy. wub.gif I am hopping to teach her as many hand signals as possible. So far she only knows NO and come. She is starting to learn sit. I have other Bull Terriers that can here and they are not the easiest dogs to train to begin with. So far the hardest thing has been to train me. The puppy seems to be picking things up quick. I am the one that has to keep up with the hand signals I still say NO and don't give the sign for it. But I am learning too. It takes 3 weeks to get a habit going. tongue.gif Good or Bad!

I was thinking about getting the vibrating collar. You can order one with plastic spices instead of metal so it won't shock. Then file them down so they are not sticking in the dogs neck all the time.
Another thing I learned is when it is dark out flip the light on and off to get the dogs attention.
During the day you can spray air freshener to get them to come and always give them a treat or lots of love when they do.
I have 4 acres so I think I need a vibrating collar to let her know I am looking for her attention.
Dose anyone else have any good ideas?
How many people went to a training school?
