So, it just occurred to me today in my flu-addled brain that it doesn't make a lot of sense for Cybertronians to name their station after a human god/moon. So I started thinking of famous names in what little cybertronian history we know, and Emirate Xaaron struck me. So what do you think would be a cooler name for the station and, thusly, the game?

From what I understand, humans helped found the station, so wouldn't they have a say in the naming of the station?

Another thing to consider is the fact that in our fiction, Cybertronians have been working with humans for a very long time. Wouldn't human culture rub off on them a bit?

Anyway - Janus, the two-faced god of beginnings and transitions, just makes sence in my head.

Yeah, human culture had been grinding on the Cybertronians' since the mid-80's. I'm gonna say they picked Janus.

And it also puts on display the new, more submissive position the Cybertronians are trying to take in the galactic community- they let the other guys name it instead.

Janus, sometimes known as the two-faced god for looking into the future and the past, is the Roman god of beginnings and translations. As such he was charged with looking after gateways and time.

If one were to follow modern interpretation of Janus in that he is a two-faced god where one lies and the other says a truth then naming the station such would probably be quite appropriate. The high rise life of the upper classes and dignitaries compared to the slums or debauched areas that everyone else has to traverse. Alternatively the politicians with their white faced lies and their hidden motives compared to the common citizen who leads an honest hard working life.

Emirate Xaaron on the other hand, whilst being on the Council of Autobot Elders and a key part in uniting the Decepticons and Autobots against Unicron (by being possessed by Primus, whoops) only appeared in comic book form. I'm not holding this against him but the galactic community would probably go, Xaaron who? every time the reason for the station's name is mentioned just as much as they would for Janus.

Outside cultures always look at where a place is and what it means to them than they do with regard to others so funny names won't mean much to them. Simple things like Centrepoint Station (not suggesting it) or the CGB (Central Governing Body) Station would probably work just as well when appealing to alien races to convince them to unify under a central government.

Heck even Terrans would probably be known as members of a race that comes from the Sol System before they are called humans from Earth. Just making an observation.

Given the nature of Cybertronians and peace, i'd say Janus is more appropriate.
