Okay wow, so heard a little uproar over this on a local radio station this morning and decided to check it out. My feelings are rather conflicted but first let me get my initial male impulses out of the way: Holy hell that woman is HOT and that is one damned exciting commercial!

Now that I've released that initial gush I'll allow my more rational bits to control the typing. I found the woman attractive yes, and it certainly does grab one's attentions, but this commercial goes over a line I think. What times are stations airing it? I sure as hell wouldn't want my kid to see it, he's only 8 and I think that this commercial shows a bit too much skin and waaaaay too much sexual suggestion. I mean wow, if this were a scene in a movie who wants to bet it would be get a PG-13 rating?

So nice try Hardees, but bad form guys. If you want to market your burgers using hot women go ahead, it's a good strategy lots of guys listen to their more basic impulses when they see something like that, but I think they really need to dial down the explicitness and leave more implied sexuality.

I think you are wrong for one reason: you're saying this commercial should be shown at a later time. I think it should be shown all the time.

But seriously, now we're sexualizing the food industry? Lovely. Now imagine that commercial with a male model, and the uproar that would get...

It's dumb, it really is. "I KNOW! HAVING A BURGER NEXT TO BOOBS MAKES YOU WANT ONE MORE!" Not the right one, Hardees.

Strangely appropriate name for it, however.

And yes, the lyrics scrolling across the head of the announcement box are from ELO's song "Here is the News." We're not trying to rip them off, we're trying to plug the coolest time travel concept album of all time.
