The click of her peds traversing down the hallway seemed to be the only sound this afternoon. The humans and many of the other bots were busy throwing a rowdy party for some old holiday, Fourth of July was it, and she really wanted no part of it. It seemed they all tried to find a reason to celebrate and get their hopes up, and she knew it wasn't her place to spoil it all.
So, that is why she was traveling away from the party to spend time with an... acquaintance one could say. She glanced down at the drinks in her hands, glowing pink energon, not the high grade like they were serving at the party. She and her acquaintance couldn't tolerate the stuff. Besides, she'd rather have sober conversation with him rather than reveal things she didn't want to, and she was sure he felt the same.
She finally reached the door, sighing frustration as she leaned down and tried every movement known to man and robot kind to press the call button. Finally, angry and frustrated beyond compare, she leaned over and pressed her glossa to the button, crossing her eyes as she pressed it in and her the beep. "Hey, you in there or what?" she inquired, returning to a normal stance, her optics gazing at the door.
Hopefully, nobody saw that...

Wallop saw that. He had a camera installed in the door, and he was quite surprised to see Blackbolt like that. Wallop was also surprised that he had a tongue, a feature of his form he'd forgotten a while ago.
"Yes. Come in," Wallop mumbled into a speaker on his desk, pressing another button to open the door. He'd been trying to shut out the noise of the party with a fairly-loud combat simulation. It depicted five Maximals with minimum training against five Ferals. The Maximals did not fair very well.
Standing up, Wallop lightened Blackbolt's burden by half and took a quick sip of energon. It was refreshing; he'd been training, watching simulations, and training Jenkins in the use of explosives all day. Energon definitely helped him to unwind, no matter how weak.
"How have you been, Blackbolt?" Wallop asked, sitting once more in the desk and flicking off the simulation. This was a fairly routine affair now; the two had been meeting for the last few weeks to spar or talk. It'd been nice. Hopefully, her company would be able to block out the sound of the idiots down the hall as well as adding some variety to a so-far boring day.

She smiled as she entered, her tail flicking softly behind her as she exited the hallway. The door whooshed shut behind her, and she grimaced at the noise coming from his desk. It was loud, almost as loud as the party going on down the hall, but there were sounds of pain and rage, not happiness and comfort.
She was about to extend a cube out to him, but her optics dimmed slightly as he came around to take it from her; just another thing only she got to see him do. She took a seat in 'her' chair; in reality it was simply the chair across from him, but she had over time claimed it as hers since she frequented it the most. She curled her legs up underneath her and relaxed into the chair, her tail coming around to rest on her lap in all its fluffy glory.
She smiled again as he flicked whatever was making that noise off, and asked her about her day. The same routine; boy did she enjoy routines. "I've been doing well, Wallop. Nothing really interesting has happened lately, and thank god it hasn't. I've got a new kid on my team and I'm not sure how long he'd last in an 'interesting' situation." she stated calmly, the tip of her tail flicking like a cat's as she sipped her energon.
"Now what about you? Anything interesting happen to you? Or just the usual, like me?" she inquired, pausing to receive his answer and giving a curt nod shortly after. She took another sip of her energon and then set it on a clear part of the desk, her optics narrowed. She sighed and combed her fingers through her tail, her gaze looking upon the pitch black, shiny fur intently.
"Wallop. Some of the colonists believe that you and I are... 'Together.' I was asked the other day by one of my team-mates if it was true, and I of course told him no. I'm not too worried about gossip myself, but I thought you should at least know if you do not know already." Suddenly the ruff of fur on the back of her neck stood up and she snapped her gaze up, intent on getting a point across. "If you are in fact pursuing a relationship with me, then you should know that I don't take being toyed with very easily. I have trust issues and I'll always worry if your gonna stab me in the back someday, but you probably already know that by now. A relationship with me will always be.. Complicated.."
She suddenly sighed, as if she had been holding her breath all this time, and retrieved her drink from the desk. "I'm sorry, but I needed to get that out. And if you weren't intending to go in that direction anyways, then I'd prefer that we'd stay as.. Well, friends." She chuckled, and rose a brow, smirking teasingly at him as she added. "Maybe even friends with benefits.." Then she laughed, a clear, joyous sound; something not many bots got to hear, but something she'd been doing often in Wallop's company.

"Oh?" Wallop asked, taking a sip that was small enough to converse the amount of liquid in the glass while being large enough to make it seem like there was little to no thought to the amount Wallop consumed in each sip. The longer he took to finish his drink, the longer he could enjoy Blackbolt's company. And the longer he could do so, the better. "Send him to me. I've gotten pretty good at dealing with dead weight. Speaking of 'dead weight', if you see Jenkins, tell him to do something about the hangover he's going to have in the morning or there will be serious consequences."
Other than the fact that Jenkins had learned how to seal a munitions pack so the contents didn't end up blowing one of his comrades to shit, there were no developments in Wallop's life, besides of his burgeoning relationship with Blackbolt, which she was already aware of.
Her comment about the crew's thoughts on their relationships interested him. "This isn't a relationship?" Wallop, realizing the phrasing of this sentence, corrected himself: "By which I mean, we are friends, and fairly close. But, as I said, friends." Watching Blackbolt grow serious, then relapse into a smile accompanied by laughter, made Wallop decide she was a strange one. He was one to talk, of course, but she was a strange one.
"An interesting proposition," Wallop muttered, not realizing what the term meant. He was notoriously out of the loop.

She let a frown linger across her face at his last comment, her tail uncurling from over her legs. She figured he was a little sheltered, but really? She raised an eye-ridge, staring at him over her drink as she took a delicate sip. Was he serious?
On the inside, her lesser known ‘fun’ side burst forth in a peal of mental scheming. She stood, carrying her cube with her, and walked around to the other side of desk. There, she slipped up to sit on the top, crossing one long lean leg over the other. There, she took another sip of her energon, eyes narrowed and her face stoic, a clear sign that she was planning something.
Then she outstretched a clawed hand, a soft smile spreading across her face as she let the very tips of her sharp nails trail across his face. Her tail thumped on the desk in slight irritation as the noise outside of the room grew a little louder. “You’ve not a clue what that means, do you?” she asked, voice a little low but smile still there.
She leaned in, hand now having traveled down to linger lightly over Wallop’s chest, and paused as she stared, eyes almost having a curious gleam to them. She couldn’t help but smile as little broader before she pressed a light kiss to his cheek, then pulling back to straighten up and look as normal as she always did. Her tail flicked nonchalantly as she hopped off the desk and returned to her chair, curling back up and sipping on her energon again as if she hadn’t done anything out of the ordinary.
“I suppose you’d like an explanation to what a ‘friends with benefits’ relationship would mean. You see, if we were to do so, we would carry on as if we were simply friends, but behind closed doors we’d endeavor towards more... Sensual pursuits.” She took a sip of her energon and then glanced up, a smile perched on her face. “Still interested? Or are you afraid you’d break something, old bot?” she teased, tail coming around to curl in her lap again.
