I'm not keen on any of the name choices, but "Charon" seems the least repugnant.
Of course I'm voting for female.
Kaon is my hometown of choice because I want to through the bio writers a curveball. I just hope they give the character a more interesting bio than "former Decepticon" like with so many other turncoat characters.
I'll be splitting my votes up between Medic and Telepath. We need more medics, but a "war psychic" would be awesome. I've always been fascinated by how governments have experimented with paranormal warfare like that.
What will you be voting for? |

Favorite Comic Book Characters |

I know that there are a lot of comic book fans here, so I'm curious to see what everyone's Top 5 favorite comic book characters are. It can be from ANY comic book from any country. Feel free to add reasons if you'd like (helps generate discussion). I'll go ahead and start:
1. Nightwing (Dick Grayson) - I grew up with Bruce Timm's BTAS/TNBA and Dick Grayson stood out as my favorite (being kid friendly and all). I eventually got around to reading his solo series that was published from 1996 to the present day and it made me like the character even more. His books had a ton of action, humor, and emotional ups and downs. He's pretty much the most sociable DC character, so there were often cameos from other members of the superhero community.
2. Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) - I'm probably going to get a lot of flak from Ted Kord fans, but I'll be honest when I say Reyes was the only BB I've read. He had a great series with a s ...read more |

Wait, what?
Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlqqGXH83qA
I am honestly so excited for this movie - it looks so on-par with not only some of the movies that have been released of late, but also the cutscenes of some of the games.
Like I said, I'm so excited for the release of this film, but no word so far about what the plot is, or when exactly it's going to be released, but early 2015 will do for me.
Feel free to post more information as and when it appears. |

My dear denizens of Cybertron’s Core,
When I started this site back in the summer of 2005, I had lofty ambitions for it. But as things have a way of doing, reality turned out to be something quite different from my fantasies. I’ve administrated this site for nearly eight years of extreme highs and extreme lows. I’ve resurrected it twice. Gained some wonderful friends from it, and it even got me a girlfriend. It’s been a hell of a ride, and I would not trade any of it.
But dust in the wind, and all that. There are times when I look at the Core and I feel like an old man surveying the battlefields of his youth. I am busy, and exhausted. I need a break.
For this reason, I am stepping down as administrator of this site and passing the torch on to Omega Prime and his new second in command, Mayhem. Some of you won’t be surprised by this—I’ve been grooming Omega as my successor for a while. However, he certainly was. So treat him right, guys.

So I met this person in Vegas on Saturday and she told me that one of her aspirations is to become a country singer. Now, I hate country music, but I told her I'd try and help share her music in spite of this so that she can get some recognition for her work. Here's her Youtube channel:

There's only two cover songs on there thus far and despite my lack of love for the genre, I think they're not bad. So, please visit her page and if you have any constructive criticism (or just praise) then feel free to leave comment. |

So much to want.
Trailbreaker and Springer are must-gets. Maybe Metroplex if I ever find him on discount. And my brother's eying Blitzwing with covet.
Megatron and Bumblebee are awesome insofar as it's nice to see Hasbro finally giving IDW designs their due, but I prefer the Classics versions I already have.
What's calling out to you guys? |

First, I'd like to thank the bloggers over at http://www.mightygodking.com for turning me onto this article.
Secondly, this is a must read not only for fans of superhero films but of other genre's and especially those among us who are aspiring profesional writters. I don't realy have anything I can add that wouldn't be redundant in the shadow of the article (it's a big one, five pages long). However, to try and scrunch this down to bit sized format for those of you who will just say TL/DR to it, in the past decade the superhero film genre (and in more recent years other genre's) has become a cast of one type of character. A sad white male who is actually perfect, the ultimate badass, and spits in the eye of society ...read more |
