Title: Weasel Stomping Day
Description: Round 2: Silverclaw vs. Moonhunter

Big Kahuna - March 6, 2008 04:12 AM (GMT)
I figured a fight set on Junk deserved a Weird Al reference. :P

For the time being Moonhunter chose to stay in his beast mode. It was easier to move around in the precarious piles of garbage with four legs to balance on instead of just two. he was only thankful that this junk didn't include any rotting organic material; he could barely breathe as it was in the thin atmosphere.

Circling the other mechanical creature, Moonhunter let loose a suspicious growl. He had only survived this long by being as vicious as he was--and he fully intended to keep on surviving. Suddenly he leapt, aiming his fangs for Silverclaw's wing, hoping to take away her one true advantage of flight before she could use it against him.

Silverwing - March 7, 2008 01:16 AM (GMT)
Silverclaw had been following cautiously the mech with her optics. Unlikely her last foe, this one was pure steel which brought some easiness to her doubts about paranormal transformers, yet nothing of safety, for although maximal again the wolf didn't look friendly at all.
The creatures growl made Silverclaw more anxious and which in response she took a battle position, readying for any incoming attacks from Moonhunter. And well done her response was, for out of sudden the white bot sprang--instinctively Silverclaw spun in her assaulter's direction and raised her arms to block the hit...or bite. Alas, she hadn't been the quick enough to both prevent and bash the mech away from her, and the defensive move resulted in getting her right arm caught between the wolf's jaws. Silverclaw cried out in pain as the sharp fangs pierced her armor, fortunately no circuitry.
Uttering an acute lion-like roar in frustration the griffin quickly countered, not wanting to make the wolf let loose his grip but rather the opposite to perform a savager move Silverclaw brought her trapped arm close to her head and opening her beak wide the silver maximal executed the same move as Moonhunter's, just that nearer and with double weapons, her razor beak and fangs...aiming directly for his throat!

Big Kahuna - March 7, 2008 04:43 AM (GMT)
THis fight would be harder than the last, Moonhunter had realized that as soon as he laid eyes on the femme. His previous opponent had been bulky and slow, and lacked killer instinct. Moonhunter had yet to gauge the personality of his opponent but he already knew that physically, they were matched more closely.

Silently Moonhunter cursed when his teeth met with an arm rather than the intended wing, but it was still a chance to inflict some damage. He bit down as hard as he could before releasing and letting himself drop down, feeling wind rush by his throat as something missed it by a hair's breath. As soon as he felt ground underneath his paws he leapt as far back as he could to keep out of reach. "Moonhunter: Maximize!" he said, landing once again on the ground, but this time in robot mode. Drawing a pistol, he aimed and fired.

By a hairs breath..i thought it was breadth O_o anyways, hehe i was going to use that expression also! u mind reading sir! :P

Silverclaw bellowed as her jaw only met the upper part, no piece from the wolf's hide in them. Looking up to see the beast leap away the griffin snarled furiously "Why you slippery--" Her words where cut short as the mech maximised and just seconds after that started firing at her. Silverclaw was just dumbstruck at the maximal's agility and stared stupidly at the incoming shoots--One struck her chest, which she seemed to have even noticed, however, she was 'awakened' by a shoot which hit her left ear, scraping off one blade-like antennae.
Letting out a painful shriek Silverclaw immediately ducked low, avoiding the wave of blasts. Looking around for any piece of junk for cover and finding no big enough to protect herself with, the only thing the griffin could come up with was to get away from her foe by means of velocity...and those mechanisms where located in her back.
Crouching even lower Silverclaw pushed off with her back legs into the air, wings beating hard impulsing her even farther up, giving a slight grunt as her ear spit sparks and her audio receptor squealed a bit.

Zigzagging and giving complicated pirouettes in order to evade any blast from Moonhunter, the female maximal quickly studied the landscape below her; seeing five huge scrap piles near her enemy like a streak Silverclaw flew towards them, a terrific idea already placed in her core and eager to be performed--as she neared a pile she dived and bashed it, pieces of metal falling from it and the column tilting to where Moonhunter laid; wasting no time Silverclaw leapt to the air again kicking at the same time the column and forcing it to go down faster. Quick as lightning Silverclaw did the same to the missing piles randomly glancing at the maximal, eagerly waiting for a horrified expression to appear in the mech's mouthplate.
Now lets see if you can escape this one Rambo dude she mused to herself, giving at the same time a soft and sinister chuckle as she observed the columns crumble and starting to fall over her target.

I live to free the skies from every one… Watch me run! (Heh heh… lyrics from a song I’m listening to while I write this. XD) And you’re right… “breadth” makes so much more sense.

IC:
He hated Junk. Walking on the planet was essentially wading through the refuse of the galaxy, if one could move about at all. He had better luck traversing the sand dunes of the Sahara, though getting all the sand out of his joints was no fun afterwards. Even a polar ice cap was easier to move around on. Junk, well, this was truly alien to him, and Moonhunter hated it.

Airborne, Silverclaw managed to evade most of his shots, and Moonhunter cursed. He was really at the disadvantage here; this was exactly the kind of situation he’d been trying to avoid. “Son!” he shrieked as he saw a column of something or other come toppling towards him. He tried to run away, but his path was obstructed by another toppling tower. “Of!” Turning around, he was met with the same horrific sight. Grabbing a large plate of metal he noticed lying at his feet, he began running towards the only opening he saw while he flipped the piece of scrap over his back protectively. “A!”

He wasn’t able to finish his sentence before the ground erupted underneath him, the columns sending a literal tidal wave of junk towards him. In the space of a few seconds, he was buried underneath it. But the he had kept his wits about him and used the piece of metal as a shield, creating a bubble underneath the fallout where he now resided. With just a couple shoves, he burst forth from the ground, bruised and bleeding mech fluid from his organic skin, much of it tattered and just dangling off his body. He was also madder than ever. Drawing both his pistols, he hoped that his apparent resurrection would give him the edge of surprise he needed to get a few good shots in. Lowering his visor, he got a target lock and fired.

Silverwing - March 9, 2008 07:01 AM (GMT)
:P and my help here is by playing the new game dad brought from his congress, LAIR..and yes FAMILY REUNION! :D I LOVE DRAGONS! ...btw, yes Mrs Quigley taught us that in woodlands academy...what lecture was it? oo yea Perseus and Andromeda :)

As the junk towers started falling Silverclaw flew to the center of the field at a safe altitude from the collapsing columns and watched Moonhunter panic with a somewhat funny look in her face. "Daughter you moron!" she yelled hearing what was obviously an Earth offense from Moonhunter, though she doubted that the maximal would even mind or notice her comment when in such a situation.
As the piles crashed upon the transmetal Silverclaw's amused countenance contorted into one of fear and concern, had she...killed him? No, it couldn't...of course no, the junk may have had just buried him and damaged some plating but couldn't have shut him down...forever. The femme shock her head, the purpose of this was to just beat the strange 'maximal' but not destroy said one; gliding down to where she had last seen the white android the griffin surveyed the zone quickly and seeing nothing interesting she turned and continued her observation from the sky.
"Chk" the noise of the load of a gun alerted Silverclaw who stopped abruptly and turned her head to where the sound came from, and there damaged and almost torn was the one who the griffin sought after. She couldn't help but let out a cry of joy as she saw the silhouette of Moonhunter, however, the exclamation was lost at the sizzle and shriek of the pistols being blasted.
"ARGH!" the warrioress roared as a bullet blasted the tip of one of the main steel feathers and another pierced through her right shoulder blade. Perhaps kindness should have waited for some other time...things such as this have occurred to the female already, and they always resulted being the victor of Silver's foe. But not this time; fluttering some to keep herself from crashing she landed behind a huge piece of junk from the pile which blocked the shoots from Moonhunter. Cursing the silver maximal looked at her shoulder's wound. Silvery blue fluid had started to stream down her wounded arm, a nasty injury but ok comparing to her enemy's state.
A burning sensation in her right leg made her look at the protective barrier, a bullet had managed to pierce through it and hit her. It wouldn't last for long, as well as her if she didn't retaliate.
Dashing away from the shield she leapt and took flight, trying to escape the wave of blasts from the furious mech Silverclaw could only think of something fast and not tricky. "RAMJET'S, ON!" Opening wings wide and taking a more rigid position she shouted, and immediately the mechanisms flared. The landscape before her seemed to blurr as the griffin suddenly speeded off at an astounding speed, creating a loud and buzzing sound similar to that of a speed train as she totally teared through the horizon. Rotating her wings with some difficulty she instantly turned towards where her foe was, a kilometer or so away in barely just secs; quickly she opened her beak and the cannon at her throat poked out, as the weapon positioned the silver bot sent the code to shift the cannons shooting mechanism to the ray one. Once ready she arched her neck and charged her beam, sparks sent out of her cannon as a growing blue energy sphere peered from the gun's mouth. Locking her targeting radar on Moonhunter to guarantee a nice cast if he tried to move as she neared him at a transonic speed rapidly Silverclaw fired the ray.

OOC: ...sleepy, yea crappy post sorry -_-

Big Kahuna - March 9, 2008 10:12 PM (GMT)
OoC:
D'aw... I feel like a big meanie now, having Moonhunter so single-minded on defeating Silverclaw while she's concerned about his safety. And uh, you don't have to make your posts so long for the fight threads. Dangit woman, you're making me look bad! XD

IC:
Moonhunter had killed many times before... so many that he had lost count. His while life had been enveloped by war, a war that had not originally been even his. he had even hunted rogue Cons after the great War had been officially over, finished, and he had done so enthusiastically. That was not to say he was a stone-cold killer, but well... he was used to it by now. It had been either desensitization or madness, and he chose the former.

She moved fast... faster than he would have preferred. It was hard to get a target lock but at least he had managed to get a few shots in... a shame he had yet to hit anything vital. "Uh-oh," he said as he saw a stream of lethal-looking energy coming at him fast. He tried to run forward to avoid it, but it was tough going and he quickly felt the heat of an explosion behind him, sending him flying forward. He tried to tuck in and roll but by the time he was back on his feet he was even more dinged up.

"Slag!" he cursed, over and over again. For once his feet find solid ground and he began running forward, shooting relentlessly at his foe. His visor was cracked over his left optic, but miraculously it still functioned somehow and allowed him to zoom in on the griffon's mouth, where the firepower was coming from. That was his target of choice, and he put all his concentration and processing power into hitting that small, elusive target...

Silverwing - March 10, 2008 11:43 PM (GMT)
OOC: No, Silverclaw has issues...it is called no-sense-of-logic :P ..as well softie
Oh and 'bout that...sorry cant help it D8 im super bad at resuming things and expressing in short paragraphs :ph43r: -_- "

Got'cha Thought the griffon with pride as the beam sent Moonhunter flying. Once her target had been hit, she sent a code to her ramjets to turn off, not wanting to consume all the fuel.

The sight of the maximal still battling fiercely touched Silverclaw. Very few examples of such resistance have confronted or been shown to her, and this would be another adding to her list. The femme was indeed amazed by him, though she knew that if respect was to be shown it would be until the end.

Silverclaw grimaced as a bullet penetrated into her thick neck. Her beak clamped shut in agony as a horrible chill ran through her body, feeling as if her circuits where been slashed. Her optics focused on the source of the wound, again fluid started emanating from within the gap and sparks spit from the sizzling wires inside the zone, the pain! the agony! THE HORRIBLE PRICE HE WILL PAY FOR THAT!. She braked and turned her now piercing glare towards Moonhunter, optics blazing furiously.

"Ingrate, you're lucky i didn't melt your tailpipe!" Roared the outraged transformer, not paying the least attention to her pain and even more to the situation.
Loosing the temper wasn't a good sign in battle, it normally ended up engaging in a ferocious meele fight which always left Silver in pieces...or the other. An unpredictable victory, for although boosting the griffins strength and ferality her lack of common sense took over.

RAMJETS, ON! Yelled the griffin, and immediately the thrusters flared once again. Beating her wings twice she shot across the field in front of her attacker, her wings rotated forward and descended. Nearly crashing with a junk pile she turned just in time and as she changed her direction she snatched up from the pile a great piece of scrap metal. Holding it close to her chest she now flew in Moonhunter's direction.
Nearing the white bot she quickly held up the metal piece and swinging her arm she flung it towards Moonhunter. It hadn't been her attack though just a mere distraction.
The piece's of metal edge was razor, a most nasty distraction it was...however not as razor and lethal as the claws Silverclaw possessed, able to rip to shreds titanium with the least effort, and her beak whose fine blade and fangs could cut through iron as if it was but snow; now they all fully stretched, aiming and ready to gore Moonhunter.

OOC: Must tell ya...crappy over done how-sharp-are-Silvers-meele-weps ..well they can cut easily through Earth metals...though not TRANSFORMER ones :P Got it?

One more post each!

IC:
Aww... he had made her mad. That was a quick way to get into a scra heap; any warrior worth even half their experience knew how to keep a collected head at all times within a battle, even if it wasn't going their way. Certainly, there was some merit that could be gained from rage, provided one knew how to channel it correctly. That kind of rage fell more along the lines of "righteous indignation" though, something Moonhunter felt he had down pat.

She was coming closer... good. He put away one of his rifles and replaced it with his sword, all the while continuing to spray firepower at his approaching opponent. The metal she flung at him was ancient and rusty, so he thought he could easily block it with one arm. He was partially right anyway--the metal bent upon impact, but so his the mechanical "gauntlet" on his arm, bending inwards a bit. He felt pain but blocked it. She could still fly but she was withing reach... He didn't know if he would win this fight be he had a better chance--she was in his turf now. Moonhunter was primarily a melee fighter, and he could weird a sword with the best of them. Using force to throw the metal off, he stood ready just as she came at him with her claws.

Thinking fast, Moonhunter tried to block one arm with his own, while thrusting his sword forward, hoping her momentum would drive her into it. Her claws would easily tear apart the flesh on his body but he was made of stronger stuff underneath... but just how strong , they would soon see.

Silverwing - March 12, 2008 12:14 AM (GMT)
OOC: Yeah :D

A white arm from the mech raised just in time to block or actually endure one of the griffon's slashes. Silverclaw squawked frustrated and with the same arm gripped his, driving her steel claws into his flesh as she did.
The blade gleamed, and her optics caught the sight of it..and the intention as well. Her circuits nearly froze as the terrific sight of the weapon neared, eager to pierce through her spark and impale her limp body once she died. Though, 'nearly'. She jumped just before the sword could strike her chest, and as a result the blade ran over her thorax wounding the plating but not any farther. She hadn't let go her attacker however, she loosened her grasp a bit as pain struck her from every protesting injuries.
Glancing down as the sword descended she quickly landed, somehow managing to catch the sword with her rear legs and forcing the weapon to stake in some metal pieces beneath both of the combatants. She smiled slyly "Thought I would be that naive?"

Tugging the captured arm closer to her the silver robot neared Moonhunter "LISTEN!" Silverclaw screeched a most terrific cry one which made the blood run cold for its nightmarish sound, one which made her feel weary and which the sensation of winning only made her continue screaming.
As she shrieked she raised her free paw and swung it down to tear at Moonhunter FINISHED!.

OOC: Wew...sorry crappy

Heavy B - March 12, 2008 12:56 AM (GMT)
time to lay judgement on the two of you :D

IMO, this one was close, Moonhunter and Silverclaw were pretty evenly matched, but my vote has to go to Silverclaw. Moonhunter seams to have taken more damage, especily when Silverclaw dumped all that junk on him and came up looking shreded (by the way BK, great graphic image :D ) also, Silverclaw could fly, this would alow for not only a quick escape, but arieal attacks from every possible angle.

1 vote for Silverclaw

UnderworldLord - March 13, 2008 01:48 AM (GMT)
Okay, I'm home from work and have overviewed the battle. After tallying things up... I think Moonhunter has the disadvantage here on junk, and further so with Silver flight-capable. A lucky shot to the throat took out her ranged weapons, but she buried Moonhunter quite literally under one of the piles.

Overall... I give it to Silver.

sureshot - March 13, 2008 03:48 AM (GMT)
A close match but I must say that Silver takes the gold. Moonhunter put up a good fight but between Silvers flight abilities and the fact that she buried her adversary that overall she took the win.

So my vote goes to Silver.

FireHex - March 13, 2008 11:01 AM (GMT)
Another very close match, which is most excellent, but I have to say the winner of these one has to be Silverclaw. She has the abilites to fly all over the junk which Moonhunter himself could have a hard time climbing over. As well she has the drop on him every time. She so easily could just buried him under all that junk again if she wanted too.

Azzathau - March 14, 2008 02:53 AM (GMT)
That was a quite entertaining read, and a harrowingly close decision on my part, that is for certain. After weighing in the posts and mulling over the decision for a while, I've decided that I think Silverclaw came out on top, even if the victory itself was quite a close one. Or maybe you two should fight a second match for my amusement... Err, I mean, as a deciding factor, yes, that's what I meant to say.
