BIO: Jolene or Sprocket has a very long history with the Autobots. Approximately two hundred years worth. In the early years of Autobot and Human trading illegal use of Cybertronian tech was common. In Jolene's case, she was an experiment in merging flesh and metal the results of which were usually fatal. Jolene was rescued by a special task force that incorporated both Autobots and humans. Saved in time for the Autobots to save her life by reconstructing her skeletal structure with Trillithium to support the cybernetics within her. However her left arm could not be save and is a full cybornetic prostetic. The cybernetics ,though, had a side effect. It slowed her aging process because of the necessity of the technology being powered by energon. A chemical in the energon practicaly stopped her normal aging process. So while her family and friends grew old and died she remained as young as she was when she was rescued at an age of 28.

During a time of tension between Terrans and Cybertronians due to humans tending to fear changes, Jolene found herself trapped in civil conflicts. Being acused of abandoning her humanity and rejected socially she found a new friend in Nightwise, a young Autobot who then took her in. They have been inseperable since. Over the years Jolene took to mechanics and Cybertronian medicine to take care of her newfound family. Both she and Nightwise volunteered for the mission to find the lost colony of Sigma.

Personality wise 'Lil Sprocket, as she has come to be known as, can be a bear of a woman. She will scold and yell at mech, that bring themselves to her in pieces. Its mostly all show and air to cover for how much she hates to see her friends hurting and that she truly cares. Rule number one for a medic is to never emotionally get involved. Slag that, its just not possible for her and she will do everything in her power to keep mechs and femmes from kicking it.
"I swear, its like a human version of Ratchet." Ultra Magnus had once commented after Nightwise had recieved a royal scathing at letting his arm blown off.
"Slag that, she's worse. Ever seen her when she has PMS? Primus help us all." Was the reply.

WEAPONS/ABILITIES: Jolene always has her tools with her and sports a small plasma pistol, not that it does much good on larger aliens, but it does act as a deterrent along with her attitude. Her left arm prostetic has a storage compartment and holds small things like her flashlight and swiss army knife. She does know some martial arts and can at least hold her own against someone her size.

WEAKNESSES: Jolene will work herself to exhaustion repairing her injured comrades and also has a tendancy to talk back to her superiors on occasion, when she feels her patients need more down time then given.

SAMPLE POST:

[This happens before Nightwise reformatted]

"WHAT IN PRIMUS' NAME WERE YOU THINKING!!!!" The voice of Jolene echoed down the hallway in an octive usually reserved for calling canines. "I swear I just replaced that entire system not two weeks ago and here you are already dragging your sorry aft in!"

The young mech just remained still with the endless patience that he had always had with the medic on duty after two hundred years or so, one just kind of drowns it out. Nightwise knew better than anyone else that the screaming meant that she was actually very concerned. Finally, the yelling died down to nothing more then a constant grumble as the medic removed his damaged panels so she could get at the damaged systems inside. Making a face that showed she did not like what she saw, she shut Nightwise down completely while she worked and to keep the mech from potentially moving while under her care. Using her laser scapel she carefully removed the burned out section then yelled at the droid assistant to bring her the new part.

After an hour's worth of work she finally closed the the panel on Night's chest with a tired sigh and injected a stimulant into her friend and sat patiently beside his head as he roused back online. Then as soon as he awoke, slapped his helm as hard as she could with her metal limb.

"Thats for screwin' around. I'm not...."

Thats when them med bay doors flew open and a paniced minibot burst into the room. Jolene immediately quit her place beside her friend and rushed to calm him.

"Sssprocket!!! Sprocket!"

"This is a med bay mech," she growled, "inside voice please."

"Sorry, um, northside was hit hard and Patchwork, he...he's hurt real bad."

Jolene nodded and grabbed her pack that held most of her tools, then ran out after the mini. As soon at they were clear the mini transformed and the cybernetic girl jumped in. Ten minutes later she came on an ugly sight a young mech barely online, with a hole blown in his side and missing most of his left leg, lay at the bottom of a crater as stray laser fire zipped all around. Climbing out of the mini she wasted no time. Ducking low to avoid the stray fire she worked her way to the downed mech as the mini provided cover for the medic and the injured. Taking out a mediscanner from her pack and with two quick passes she adjusted his pain receptors and set to work rerouting fuel lines to keep the poor boy from leaking to death.

"What happened Patchwork?" She asked in a calm, soothing voice making a complete 180 degree turn in attitude from earlier. Actually, she was covering for the fact that she herself was frightened at being out in the field. She wasnt out on the battlefield often and everytime she was needed out there she had to quell the urge to run, usually the only thing that kept her from doing just that was the thought of her being needed.

"Mmm...n-not too sssure." Patchwork rasped, " Was on the ridge....laying down fire and....seeker flew low with a missle lock..."

Jo nodded taking a moment to glance up at what was left of the ridge the young mech was on at one point. What the fraggin' Hell was he doing exposed like that...

"You're going to be alright, Patchwork. I'll get you fixed up and get a new leg for ya. Then Im going to scream bloody murder at you for two breems straight for exposing yourself up on a ridge. Got me?"

The youngster gave a weak smile and a nod. Jolene finished the last of the line connection then radioed for a gurney and a few strong backs to come get him out of the crater. She would spend three hours replacing eighty percent of Patchwork's side and two days rebuilding him a new leg, then as Patchwork was about to be released with a clean bill of health, Jolene lauched into him with a yelling spree that would wake the dead. All of which roughly translated into 'for Primus' sake becareful out there'.

Despite that attitude she gave everyone Jolene admitted to no one that she loved them all and could not stand to see them hurt and not try to help them. She was haunted by her losses, though, and on quiet nights she would remember them all from the first mech she couldn't save to a patient that would not let her help. It hurt and even though she knew that they were situations that she had no control over she felt that she should have been able to gain control. She would cry for them.

Profile: Nightwise is young and eager to prove himself to the Autobot cause. Fairly laidback and easy going, Nightwise loves Earthen culture and can usually be found anywhere there might be a crowd.

He and Jolene Logan are the best of friends and he is very protective of her. He was on the first responders that found her so long ago and the pair have been together ever since. The two are very much in love and Nightwise has secretly been researching to find away to bond with her.

Strengths: Nightwise is very tolerant and friendly and rarely loses his temper. A decent shot at a moderate range and good at close quarter combat (basic defense training). He has the unique ability to navigate by using stars. Excellent night vision.

Weaknesses: Nightwise is constantly in motion so therefore he consumes alot of fuel. A little too ambitious at times and he forgets that his armor is light and can not withstand to much damage. Which lands him in Jolene's medbay much to the mechanic's displeasure. Nightwise has also developed a fear of flying and especially space travel due to an event that took the life of his mentor.

Nightwise moved quietly. This was an essential mission and the survival of his partner and himself was depending on his abilities to see in near total darkness. A quick glance to the stars above him confirmed his position and he waved his comrades to follow. It should be simple mission, get the target and get out. Night set his team into position and the waiting began.

After several hours of waiting Nightwise had enough. Opening a silent com he told his friend to stay back.

[Scomm: Nightwise to SpotLight: I’m going to go on ahead and see if I cant get them to follow me.]

[SComm: SpotLight to Nightwise: What are you stupid? It be much easier to wait here for them to come to us.]

[Scomm: Nightwise to SpotLight: Yeah.... I guess I am.] The electric green and gray mech moved out as he closed the link, earning him a groan from his partner.

Night heard noises and set into the shadows. Two guards with the target between them walking up the pathway. Over eager to get the mission completed he moved from his new spot too soon and was immediately fired upon. Nightwise managed to keep the two occupied while his partner moved around and behind and stealth fully lead the captive away while radioing back to the base for an evac.

The next cycle found Nightwise in med bay, again. This time with a hole in his midsection and a cursing Jolene bent over him.

"I cant believe that its only been a month... One slagging month, Nightwise!!" The cybernetic human yelled at him. Nightwise really didn’t care about the volume of her voice. He knew that it worried her that he got hurt so often.

"I couldn’t help myself Jo. I just saw an opportunity and took it." He tried.

"Without thinking about what would happen... I know!" A quick glance around the med wing told her that the two were alone. Her voice dropped and softened. "I worry Nightwise. I don’t like seeing any of you mechs getting hurt but damnit! You practically throw yourself into the line of fire..."

"I’m sorry, Jo. I promise I'll try to think...."

"You promised that last time!" the medic snapped as she closed his panel roughly. "Now get out!"

"I mean it this time. Primus when that last shot hit.... I had a flash of you just... disappearing. I can't lose you Jo... I nearly did once and I nearly lost my processor. I L-" Nightwise reached up and gently placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Nightwise, please. I know." Jolene pulled out of his hold and went up to his helm and leaned over to kiss his lip components.

The two shared a quiet moment just enjoying each others company. They loved each other, but knew that it was very taboo to fall in love with another species. So to save each other ridicule from either species they kept their emotions to themselves. Only in rare quiet moments like this one could they try to show each other any of their true emotions.
