Forum Rules Board Guidelines

1 - We ask that you do not insult, ridicule or threaten other posters, old or new that they may be. Also, please, do not spam :)

2 - We ask that whenever you wish to write about later parts of a game, you apply the spoiler tags to said text. Especially if it is something about the game's story, bosses, puzzles or items.
In the help forums however, it is not required to use spoiler tags for anything except the game's story. Failure to do so may result in warning, suspension or banning; depending on the number of times this happened, the severity of the violation (such as describing the game's ending) and possible maliciousness of the violator.
Alternatively, you may create a topic with the words *spoilers for "game(s) name"* in its title. That will exempt everybody from using spoiler tags in that thread for spoilers about said game. However know that said thread may not be modded, unless specifically requested for a violation of these rules.

3 - Due to the high level and frequency of malicious spam bots posting in the forum, registration is required to post replies in any of our forums.

(Not sure if this belongs here, but...)

The first one i'll show is the one I want to be the main focus of the thread: Link.

Yep thats right, a complete dissasembly of ALTTP. It took me over three months to complete and I have been done with it for about two month. It hasn't been commented on a whole lot yet but I plan to do more and hopefully I can get some people to help as well.

<hr>

Next I have this. This is a status bar editor made by Vitor Vilela so I really would like to give most credit to him (all I did was give him addresses that needed to be changed). Here are some screen shots:

(I hope that first one isn't too big...)

For my third item I have this. It is a custom sprite inserter I made by myself, and I must say I am quite proud of it (considering its the first helpful tool I made). There is a tutorial I made here on how to use the sprites, as well as making them, if you are interested in using it.

Video.

Last I have this. Basically this is a patch which enables a code to run every frame in a level, and a per level basis. It also has the ability to make a code run once during level fade-in.

And thats about it. I also have a forum here if you are interested (you can also find a few other things I made there). Hopefully more people will start hacking the game, I know some people say the editor is a little hard, but I have been working with MathOnNapkins a bit lately with his new edit called BlackMagic, hopefully a replacement for HyruleMagic.

If you are interested in helping with the dissasembly, even if it is just a small routine, or just want to talk to me about something feel free to join #zeldconst on EsperNet, a chat room zeldconst made. Thats it, enjoy!

Why yes, it does belong here!

That's some very cool stuff there wiiqwertyuiop! You might want to post them on romhacking.net too so it gets better exposure. cool.gif

Interesting! Is any of this helpful for Sekiban, may I ask?

At the very least, it might be nice to implement Sekiban's version of the Pegasus Boots into a LttP Hack.

Cool, I think ALTTP does not differ too much from Sekiban. Maybe you can advance the editor by Euclid one time; there are still missing the possibilities to add sprites and doors/staircases:

Edit:
It is a dream of Duke to insert new tiles into the lumberjacks cave (where we hacked the magic cape into). There are some bosses missing in AST like blind and vitreous. One of his idea was to insert Vitreous guarding the cape... maybe it is one time possible to add him with the editor and your sprite inserter smile.gif
