Forum Rules Board Guidelines

1 - We ask that you do not insult, ridicule or threaten other posters, old or new that they may be. Also, please, do not spam :)

2 - We ask that whenever you wish to write about later parts of a game, you apply the spoiler tags to said text. Especially if it is something about the game's story, bosses, puzzles or items.
In the help forums however, it is not required to use spoiler tags for anything except the game's story. Failure to do so may result in warning, suspension or banning; depending on the number of times this happened, the severity of the violation (such as describing the game's ending) and possible maliciousness of the violator.
Alternatively, you may create a topic with the words *spoilers for "game(s) name"* in its title. That will exempt everybody from using spoiler tags in that thread for spoilers about said game. However know that said thread may not be modded, unless specifically requested for a violation of these rules.

3 - Due to the high level and frequency of malicious spam bots posting in the forum, registration is required to post replies in any of our forums.

So while doing a project for 64DD.net (thread Here). I came across a section of the guides that had beta images of the oracle games. As you can see, there are some unused features, like the vines in the bottom pictures. While the pictures aren't new, the text itself may have info about the 3rd Oracle game. We need a translator...

I've gotten myself involved in an intense translation project at the moment, but I could take a crack at transcribing it unless anyone else wants to jump in.

EDIT: Cool find, by the way. smile.gif

I love how they initially used the logo of LoZ back when these games were gonna be an expanded remake of LoZ (or rather one would be a remake and the others would expand the story beyond that of a single game).
In fact, it's funny how a lot of people forget that it was originally going to be Zelda who would own the Rod of Seasons and get kidnapped not by Onox but ny Ganon.

I actually think a lot a bull is going around the net about the beta stages of these games.
Some people claim that the remake of LoZ was a completely separate project from the Triforce trilogy (which would have been three completely original games), but 1) that doesn't make sense. Nintendo wouldn't release FOUR Zelda games at the same time on the same console with one of them being completely unrelated to the others. 2) This notion only started floating around a good while after the games were released, when interviewers had already started asking questions on newer titles.
Others then, claim that not only one of the games would have been a remake of LoZ, another would have had plot elements from AoL. I don't really need to point out how this makes no sense whatsoever, right?

Also I am endlessly amused by the fact that Japan adopted our punctation. Because exclamation marks are what Japanese desperately needed, not something superflous like, say, plurals.

Speaking of Beta OOX, here's a link which contains some speculation/information on the scrapped 3rd game...

http://www.zeldaeternity.com/2011/02/the-oracles-part-2/

Unfortunately, I was unable to locate a "Part 1"...

No problem. I'm in the transcribing swing due to this other project I'm doing the translating for. Frankly this was kind of a welcome break from what I was doing.

For anyone that is interested in it, all 3 (1999, 2000, 2001) SpaceWorld guide books have been uploaded. Just go to 64DD.net and download off the main page.

Sweet. Before I spend too much time with these, have you searched the 1999 and 2000 ones for Satellaview-related content?

I didn't even think of Satellaview stuff while I was scanning them. No, unfortunately, there's nothing even SNES related in them.

Congratulations, you officially broke new ground by digging up a thread left untouched since 2011 in order to post a link to another thread also dead since 2011.

At any rate, Hirule Historia has recently provided unquestionable confirmation that yes, the missing game was supposed to be Oracle of Colors, while Oracle of Ages apperently would have been Oracle of Hours, with the Oracle of Colors being Nayru and that of Hours being Farore.

It appears all three Oracles were intended to be into different forms of art, Din Dancing, Nayru Painting and Farore Singing. Obviously when Nayru got switched from Colors to Ages she also became the singer while Farore became a bookworm.

1) biggrin.gif 2) Wow, different art interests, neat... ...&... 3) Oracle of COLORS?! Wonder what we would have done in that title?!

It's fairly obvious what item we would have used in Colors.

But I wonder about Hours...

That teddy bear on her waist? Her freaking disembodied voice?? blink.gif
