Forum Rules Board Guidelines

1 - We ask that you do not insult, ridicule or threaten other posters, old or new that they may be. Also, please, do not spam :)

2 - We ask that whenever you wish to write about later parts of a game, you apply the spoiler tags to said text. Especially if it is something about the game's story, bosses, puzzles or items.
In the help forums however, it is not required to use spoiler tags for anything except the game's story. Failure to do so may result in warning, suspension or banning; depending on the number of times this happened, the severity of the violation (such as describing the game's ending) and possible maliciousness of the violator.
Alternatively, you may create a topic with the words *spoilers for "game(s) name"* in its title. That will exempt everybody from using spoiler tags in that thread for spoilers about said game. However know that said thread may not be modded, unless specifically requested for a violation of these rules.

3 - Due to the high level and frequency of malicious spam bots posting in the forum, registration is required to post replies in any of our forums.

In less than an hour, on November 4, I'll be 18 years old. I want to stay young forever. I want a Sega Saturn. And most of all, I want be going out with a certain someone.

1) Age is 95% a state of mind.

2) Spring for the Saturn - On eBay my favorite trick is to buy a lot with games so I can spend a chunk of cash without feeling too guilty because of all the extra games as well. Remember that you can always resell if you regret it afterward, but at 18 you're just starting life and a Sega Saturn won't be your undoing.

3) The "certain someone" trick is harder, but really the only thing anyone can do is to do everything you can to put yourself in the best light and then take control and ASK the certain someone. If they say no then at least you know and if you know then you can move on. In the end it's much better to know an answer than to suffer in uncertainty. There's a risk you end up finding out the person was not in your destiny but there's also a potential that it will have been the best question you ever asked. Go for it.

Sorry to hear that, Saturn. The first few times that happened to me I took it really hard, but eventually I learned to look at the bright side of it. This probably won't be of much comfort to you right now, but if you're anything like me then you may notice that the indecision part of the whole situation actually got in the way of a good friendship. After I would be rejected I often found that my friendships with the person would actually become better. Since I was no longer scared of being myself around them they actually got to know the real me a lot better and we'd become great friends.

Oh and if the person doesn't want to be friends after all then they're not worth your time. You'll pull through.

As a veteran I think I am with 31 one of the oldest here.

Heartache is something really terrible and it takes a time to get over it - as for friendship I got a sarcastic phrase of a friend "First of all they rip off your heart, then they all want to be your friend".
However, sometimes there are special circumstances which avoid a relationship - I hope she was honest with you.
