Forum Rules Board Guidelines

1 - We ask that you do not insult, ridicule or threaten other posters, old or new that they may be. Also, please, do not spam :)

2 - We ask that whenever you wish to write about later parts of a game, you apply the spoiler tags to said text. Especially if it is something about the game's story, bosses, puzzles or items.
In the help forums however, it is not required to use spoiler tags for anything except the game's story. Failure to do so may result in warning, suspension or banning; depending on the number of times this happened, the severity of the violation (such as describing the game's ending) and possible maliciousness of the violator.
Alternatively, you may create a topic with the words *spoilers for "game(s) name"* in its title. That will exempt everybody from using spoiler tags in that thread for spoilers about said game. However know that said thread may not be modded, unless specifically requested for a violation of these rules.

(Well, at least, it's the New Year according to the Julian, & the Gregorian calenndar)...

Does anyone celebrate additional year-starting festivals, i.e. Sahmain, (Halloween, which is, believe it or not, the Celtic Pagan New Year), Rosh Hashonah, &/or any other cultural holidays marking the beginning of the year?!

I'm sure you can already tell what some of my answers will be... biggrin.gif

2) I'm actually undecided on how to interpret the 2012 prophecy, but I do believe the WORLD AS WE KNOW IT IS GOING TO CHANGE QUITE SIGNIFICANTLY, FOR BETTER &/OR WORSE...

I am certain that 2012 will be the same old thing as 2011 and 2013 will be. Considering that the most successful prophecies are the most vague (Nostradamus, Revelation of John, etc.) and the fact that the 2012 prophecy is so specific (world will end on 2012), I don't think we have anything to fear. The only way the 2012 prophecy can be resurrected by its fans is to make it vague and then interpret anything "significant" as the prophecy's fulfillment. Maybe they'll put Firefly back on the air in 2012. Maybe that's what the Mayans were hinting at. The whole thing is silly.

Or they can make a made-for-tv movie (or better a couple movies like they did with Farscape) to close up Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Considering Firefly has already had its movie, I'd prefer that.

unfortunately it's in German, however the essence:
- the gravitational force of other planets than the moon have almost no effect (strongest is Jupiter and his force affects the earth 1/100 less than the moon)
- there will not be a line (conjunction) of planets at 21st december in 2012.

As far I know, the mayas simply stopped at this date to continue their calendar, just as I do stop hacking happy.gif
