I've been wondering, would it be possible to somehow, someday, get the BS-X broadcasting satellite back online? maybe someone can hack into it, access it, and manipulate it to get it online once more...

Well, even if they didi it would be pretty pointless since that person would need the orinigal games broadcast by St. Giga to use it and it would cost a huge amout of money to create something that could send the data to it. The people using it would also need all of the hardware like the satellite dish along with other things to make it work. The satellite might not be functoning properly as well by now. Also, couldn't you only use it if you were in Japan since it wasn't positioned to aim at anything else but Japan?
Also, if there are any large spelling mistakes, please fix them. My computer won't work properly so I'm on my PS3 and don't have spellcheck. -------------------- |

Major impediments with trying to bring back the St. Giga Broadcasting service.
1) St. Giga itself is defunct. 2) The service is designed for Japanese satellite systems, not US. 3) Such a thing would cost millions of dollars. 4) And it would be pointless if we're unable to retrieve most of the lost Satellaview data, of which rebroadcasting would be the most likely purpose to set up such a thing. ... none of this is to say I'd just give it up, though. |
