Forum Rules Board Guidelines

1 - We ask that you do not insult, ridicule or threaten other posters, old or new that they may be. Also, please, do not spam :)

2 - We ask that whenever you wish to write about later parts of a game, you apply the spoiler tags to said text. Especially if it is something about the game's story, bosses, puzzles or items. In the help forums however, it is not required to use spoiler tags for anything except the game's story. Failure to do so may result in warning, suspension or banning; depending on the number of times this happened, the severity of the violation (such as describing the game's ending) and possible maliciousness of the violator. Alternatively, you may create a topic with the words *spoilers for "game(s) name"* in its title. That will exempt everybody from using spoiler tags in that thread for spoilers about said game. However know that said thread may not be modded, unless specifically requested for a violation of these rules.

3 - Due to the high level and frequency of malicious spam bots posting in the forum, registration is required to post replies in any of our forums.

Open Legends is pretty much what you're wanting, but it seems to have died since the last time I used it. Anyway it's basically a very competent Zelda editor (see this screenshot, for instance) but I really don't know what state it's in as it's a good year or so since I last used it. Check out the forum for what seems to be the new incarnation.

Another possibility is Game Maker. Check out Zelda Fan Game Community for sprites and code samples and whatnot. This is the more involved method since the editor isn't Zelda-focussed, but the people there are friendly and will (hopefully) give you any help you need. The advantage is that you can add in features that the Open Legends programmers didn't think of.

I am actually a member of the OpenZelda group. (That's what Open Legends used to be called, and we have now reverted back to that name)

Although we don't have as much activity as we did back at AGN, we do still have a good amount of activity, and more so recently than we've had in a while.

I'm glad to see people mentioning OpenZelda outside of our own group. happy.gif

Coincidently, I was just checking out the Open Legends forums yesterday - I was looking in on Z2E and noticed OL's forums were on Gaming Universe as well biggrin.gif

Hmm, I should check that out! Maybe I could start learning how to create my own versions of different Zelda games! How can I get to this site, using its new name? unsure.gif huh.gif

Zelda Classic and their quest editor might be what you're looking for. It's pretty straightforward and easy to use, plus there are plenty of fan-made games to download.Zelda Classic

Ah, new to the BS Zelda games... that's always an exciting feel to find these. Have you gotten into playing Map-1 or Map-2 very far? We're all curious as to what the fans think of the game restoration done. Also, give AST a shot, Duke and Euclid put a heap of work into making it the best it could be!

You want to know the easiest way to make a zelda game? Hyrule magic! It's an easy Link to the Past editor that can be found here:
