 Cant Upload That Type Of File?

Im trying to upload a new avatar; its a .jpg
The board returns an error saying that I cant upload that type of file for avatar/personal photo.

Help?

Open the picture in ms paint, select save as, at the bottom it will ask you what type of file you want to save it as, change it to an allowed type.

Yeah. I usually upload the image with a filehosting site and then use a link to the image.
