IC I N F O R M A T I O N

Full name of character: Jimmy Zaide Fletcher

Nickanames: It’s just Jimmy

Date of birth: 25th October

Age: unknown, looks early twenties

Species: Graske with usual Graske shape shifting abilities and elevated level of intelligence.

Occupation: training to be a teaching assistant.

Face claim: Edward Speelers

Eye/hair colour: Blue eyes and blonde hair

Height/weight: just over six feet and alittle over twelve stone

Distinguishing features: none in his human form

Appearance:
Well to look at Jimmy, you'd never think that he's from an entirely different universe. He looks like a normal guy, blonde hair, blue eyes and a tall, athletic body that most women would swoon over. But that's just the cover. In his natural form, Jimmy looks entirely different. Jimmy's REAL FORM is ugly and repulsive to say the least. Razor sharp teeth and massive protruding fin type things being just two of the most noticable features. You'd never think he could be so ugly on the inside.

In Jimmy's new human form, he has casually styled blonde hair which seems alittle darker at the roots than it is at the tips. His torso is a thing of beauty, it looks as though it was worked on for a long time but being a Graske, it probably took no longer than a matter of seconds to form. Jimmy looks like a total heart throb and to tell the truth, the original Jimmy Fletcher probably was. The boy's full lips and blue eyes are just a couple of striking features that set him apart from the other males around him.

Likes:

Dislikes:
- being noticed
- coffee
- old people
- violence
- loud music

Strengths:
- enjoys working with children because they ask questions that adults wouldn't even bother asking.
- works well alone.

Weaknesses:
- can't work well in large team situations, it makes him feel useless, especially if he feels the rest of the team is more intelligent than him (unlikely) or just better over all.
- his temper can be triggered by the smallest of things.
-can't cope in stressful situations and tends to just walk away from the problem rather than solving it.

Fears: Using someone elses body to get by in the world means that Jimmy's most obvious fear would have to be being found out. Of course he makes sure only to revert to his natural state when in the privacy of his own flat but never the less, the fear is still there. Another fear he has is getting emotionally attached to a human, not only is it a very un-Graske thing to do, it would also mean he would have to lie to them to keep his secret safe, something Jimmy isn't comfortable with.

Quirks:
Jimmy doesn't really tend to think he has personalit quirks to be honest but you only have to compare him to the nearest normal person to realise there are differences with the way he functions and the way everyone else does. Firstly, Jimmy has a habit of scratching his knuckles when he feels awkward or out of place and grinds his teeth when he's starting to feel annoyed. Some people thingk Jimmy is superstitious because he avoids things like certain coloured cats and won't pass people in the stairs but thats mainly because back on the home planet, passing on the stairs was frowned upon and to Jimmy, cats always look like they know more than they're letting on.

Personality:
Jimmy Fletcher isn't who you think he is. Jimmy Fletcher isn't the self absorbed, arrogant ass hole he was last year, infact he's not the same person at all. Jimmy Fletcher is dead. What you see is merely someone (or more accuratly, something) that looks just like the now deceased Mr Fletcher. No one knows what happened to Jimmy, infact they think he's the still alive - after all they see him every day but of course they notice that he has changed and that he no longer hangs around with the same bunch of self obsessed lads he used to before. Some think he was in a car accident that rearranged his brain cells, some think he simply woke up different one day, all they know is that this isn't the Jimmy Fletcher they grew up with. They're right as well, the person they call Jimmy is infact a creature called Zaide who stole Jimmy Fletcher's appearance so he could make a life for himself on Earth.

Being alone out in space does things to your mind, it changes who you are until you no longer retain the values you once had. That's what it did to Zaide. It changed him from the nice Graske he had once been to the slightly crazed Graske that took a man's life and instantly regretted it. Zaide had always been very passive compared to the other members of his race. He had no will to go and explore other civilisations in the violent way his ancestors had established. He would rather just read about them and learn that way [even though it didn't prepare him for earth] Moodswings is another side effect Zaide has suffered as a result of being totally alone in the universe. Sometimes he would risk himself to save you, other times he would happily kill you himself.

Zaide definitly cares what people think of him, not being accepted into this new society is the one idea that scares him most even though he knows his strange personality and ingrained traditions will always set him apart from the rest of the population. Anger is something Zaide battles with everyday. He doesn't understand why he gets so angry with the world around him - after all he picked it. Some could argue it's in his blood and they would probably be right but even so, Zaide hates it when he feels that familiar bubbling in his blood, he can't help it though and his anger always shows in physical violence. Being a shapeshifter, Zaide could suddenly develop all kinds of weapons attached to his body - blades for hands for example. He could also develop the muscle to make his punches go through solid stone walls if that's what he desired at the time. For that reason Zaide is rather unpredictable so it's always best to make sure you keep Zaide laughing.

Unlike the real Jimmy Fletcher, Zaide isn't a hit with the ladies, never has the statement 'I don't understand women' rang more true than with Zaide. Males are easy, give them what they want and they're happy, women are much more complicated and seem to expect you to be able to second guess what they want and buy them things when they say they didn't want anything. Needless to say Zaide doesn't understand the whole idea of gay and straight and will pretty much go for anything that takes his fancy.

Family:

History:
Zaide, as he was known back in the day, was a disappointment to his family, he didn't want to travel the universe, zapping people, taking their places, experiencing everything he could, then leaving. To him that just seemed... well wrong. He was taking someone else's life. Someone else's identity. His parents hated the fact their youngest son didn't seem to understand the whole concept the Graske community worked on. Graske didn't only do it to forward their understanding of the universe, they couldn't since there were a million other ways they could learn about a race. Observation being just one, far less invasive method.

Of course there was only so long his family could take the ridicule of having a useless son. They cast him out on his own and told him that he could only come back when he'd learnt what it really meant to be a Graske. Needless to say Zaide didn't want to understand what it meant and found himself endlessly trasmatting around in space waiting for something to come along.

It took him years to find Earth, years alone had played horrible tricks on young Zaide's mind so when he found it, he didn't care anymore about his pacifist ways. He wanted a place where people would communicate with him, where he could be loved like he hadn't been back home. So he trasmatted down onto the planet and in the middle of the night, killed a man walking home from a night club. It wasn't the most honorable death for the man but Zaide didn't care, from what he could reckon, the man was a fine specimen of human health, so he stole the man's identity. That night Zaide of the Graske became Jimmy Fletcher of Oxford...

But Zaide had spent to long alone and hadn't observed humans for long enough for his transition into being human to be flawless. It wasn't long before the real Jimmy's family was questioning his every move having noticed a drastic change in their son. He had once been a happy boy who constantly had a girl on his arm and a steady desk job at the local newspaper. Now he was quiet, reserved and often violent towards his peers. That and he had lost his job. Zaide hated the look on Jimmy's parent's faces as they watched what they thought was their son, drift away from them. They thought something had happened to their son, they were right but there was no way they would believe the true story and if they did they would never forgive Zaide so, one day he uped and left with as many as Jimmy's posessions as he could. He left Oxford behind and having been a human for a year now, he was confident he could get on in the world. He was wrong, he ended up in Cardiff surrounded by even more strangers, his mind a whirl with the whole thing.

He did his best to settle in in Cardiff but the longer he stayed, the more strange things he noticed going on in the city. He did his best to research the goings on but he was constantly blocked by something called Torchwood. Something he remembered hearing about back on the Graske home planet. Something he should fear, something that was associated with the Doctor who had thwarted the Graske's last attack and would probably hunt Jimmy down if they knew he existed.

RP sample:[ as Matthew Ethan Blake on goodnightGRAVITY.]
Matt had actually smiled today when he’d found out that one of his favourite students was having a session with him today. Of course it hadn’t been all that long since their last one but even now, Matt looked forward to the time they spent together. Faith Keller was an upbeat kind of girl which made quite a difference from the angst driven teenagers and self loathing kids he had in here most days. This very morning he’d had a particular student who seemed to refuse to see that she had done anything wrong. Her outlook on the world was childish and it was almost as though she thought the world was out to get her. It was stupid to say the least but Matt had tried his best to empathise with the girl never the less. She was the kind of student who made Matt wonder if his job had any kind of effect on the students at all.

She disagreed with every word that issued from his lips and had basically said that her being here wasn’t her fault and that her parents had sent her here because they didn’t like her. For the parents who had to pay the school fees, this was quite an expensive place to send a child. Other local boarding schools were comparatively cheap when put next to Truro Cathedral College so the idea of her being sent here simply for that reason seemed rather flawed to say the least. The child didn’t even have the excuse of only being a first year either; she’d been here for two years now and had been transferred to Matthew after her previous counsellor had pretty much given up hope. The girl put on these cute little eyes when she wanted you to believe her, it might have worked on her parents but Matt wasn’t a parent and could safely say that he rarely shared any emotional characteristics with parents.

Save for in some cases like that of Faith Keller where he had known her so long that his relationship with her had turned more into a casual father/daughter relationship more than anything else. Matt often got proud of the girl when she came in telling him about her latest A grade test paper or the article she had recently submitted for the newsletter, these things were the kinds of things her parents were supposed to be happy about, not her counsellor but having not heard much from them in the past four years, Matthew had taken it upon himself to take their place in that respect. However, as Faith made her way into the room today, Matthew could instantly tell that there was something a little off about her today. She didn’t look as bright and breezy as she usually did and she hadn’t rushed in with news of her latest triumph, she had merely plonked herself down and said hi.

Matthew made nothing of it though, he simply put on a small smile and set his files in order before making his way from his desk to the little arm chair, couch, coffee table set up he had going on in another part of the room. He sat himself down in the arm chair and returned the greeting. “Hi.” He said simply before adding in his usual calm tone. “How are you feeling today?” Instantly his eyes washed over the girl seemingly looking for physical signs for why she seemed rather dull today. Of course he would wait for Faith to tell her himself without prising into her affairs, he respected her enough to wait for her to tell him in her own time.
