Sora fought and defeated him, and the new Kingdom Hearts was closed. Sora and the others were returned to the Destiny Islands, and although Sora has to say goodbye to Donald and Goofy, he knows in his heart that true friends are never gone. After this, Maleficent and Pete tried to set up in the castle, but were interrupted not a month into their planning by a cloaked, hooded figure. The man – a Nobody by the name of Xandiel – cut down the droves of Heartless that Maleficent sent at him with his chainwhip sword, making it to the witch and using his powers to throw both her and Pete out. Then he set up base in the castle, forging a new organization of Nobodies dubbed New Order. Back in the worlds of Light, the Heartless and Nobodies continue to bother people, but not to the extent that they did before. With the appearance of new creatures dubbed ‘Lifeless’, however, things have been getting increasingly bothersome for the Heartless Resistance and for the King, both of whom are opposed against the creatures of darkness. To add to their problems, the Nobodies that formerly members of Organization XIII – thought to be destroyed by Sora and Riku – have been spotted in various places, although there are no confirmed reports that they are working together, still. However, there have been many good advances for the Resistance. The new ‘Pathway Portals’ have been set up, magical bridges between worlds that allow fast travel. The resistance itself is growing and things are shaping up. But still, no one can shake the lingering doubt. There’s something moving, out there in the dark. And it’s coming…
