Story Line
In the worlds of Light, the Heartless and Nobodies continue to bother people, but not to the extent that they did before. With the appearance of new creatures dubbed ‘Lifeless’, however, things have been getting increasingly bothersome for the Heartless Resistance and for the King, both of whom are opposed against the creatures of darkness.

The sun rose over Hollow Bastion, the once vibrant world that was on it’s road to recovering from the horror that was wrought upon it by Maleficant years before. As it stands now, Hollow Bastion is a wide and empty castle over looking the peaceful towns and villages that make up Radiant Garden. Thanks to Sora, things had calmed down around the place and rebuilding was going well. With the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee and the Heartless Resistance working at full strength, there was a lot to be thankful of – not least that their home would very soon be restored to it’s former glory.

As the sun made her prescene known in the sky above Radiant Garden, it gleaned down on one of the world’s residents who was up before the others, as per his usual behaviour. Leon was wandering through the streets and side-alleys of the largest of the towns set upon Radiant Garden. Being the closest to Hollow Bastion and the place where the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee set up their HQ, it was a de facto capital of the world and Leon didn’t mind this at all – it meant that most travellers passed through here, and he could get a good look at them himself. He didn’t like strangers wandering around his territory – it made him rather nervous.

Shrugging off the feelings of disquiet that he got from being alone in the streets, he kept his senses primed and his hand on the hilt of his gunblade, which was everpresent, belted to his waist. He was wearing revolver, today, seemingly for no particular reason except that he prefered the reassuring weight of the blade in his hands on the dark mornings like this. Wearing Lionheart was reserved for battles where he might need it, or it would prove to be more useful because of it’s light weight. Revolver, however, was a reassuring companion on patrols in the dead of morn, when the sun was barely peeking past the heavy clouds.

Striding through his streets, Leon couldn’t help but wonder if he was putting himself at odds doing these things for Hollow Bastion. After all, the world was but a residence that he had claimed for a few years, but he seemed to put so much energy into restoring it, one would think that he was struggling for no reason. There was a lot to question in the young man’s mental health – he was standoffish, alone and cool to anyone who spoke to him. It put most people at odds, but a few managed to ignore it enough whether by some innate kindness that came as a natural help to talking with such difficult customers, or whether they were just so annoying themselves that they barely noticed it in other people. Aerith andYuffie did mean a lot to him, however.

Closing his eyes and drawing in a breath, Leon looked around the streets and gave though to his real home, the far away world known as Faria that had disappeared when his girlfriend had given into the darkness and allowed the Heartless to take over her and the world, destroying them both. Leon’s blade had peirced her heart, although it had still been too late to save his world and only through a random flux of magic and the powers of the GF that coursed in his very veins rather than just his mind, he had survived, being taken to Hollow Bastion. Soon, even that had fallen and he wondered if he was jinxed.

Shaking his head, the brunette chuckled at the pathetic angsty thoughts and settled himself against a wall, looking over the rise before him, down into the great abyss that lead up to the abandoned castle. Work was still commencing on it, but it wouldn’t be long now – or so he hoped.

“Whoever you are, you can come out,” he said, suddenly, a small smile on his lips. Griever had been responsible for picking up on the stray thoughts and sensing the heartbeat, only deciding to inform Leon seconds before. He felt a pang of annoyance, but then the cruel unbound guardian had never actually been a positive influence on him.
