and you can reach me by PM.
I am also the master of NOBODY
and I think your site is awesome.

' COMMON KNOWLEDGE, BABY;;

birthday;; October 30
age;; 16
sex;; female
blood purity;; Muggleborn
sexual orientation;; heterosexual
house;; Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin
occupation;; student
canon?;; no
loyalties;; neutral, but leaning towards order

' IT'S ONLY SKIN DEEP;;

luscious locks;; Rather plain, medium-length brown hair. It falls just below her shoulders, and is usually straight.
pretty eyes;; Again, rather plain, chocolate brown eyes. Her eyes are very expressive; Cicada is one of those people where you can tell how she’s feeling by looking in her eyes
weight;; 90 lbs
height;; 5’ exactly
distinguishing features;; The most distinguishing thing about Cicada is her size. She is tiny, with very little fat or muscle. She’s not strong physically, which kind of annoys her, but she’s too lazy to work out. Once you get beyond her size, another feature is her clothing. Cicada rarely wears anything plain; all her clothes are brightly colored, sparkly, or both. If something isn’t interesting enough, she’ll paint it. Most of her clothing clashes, though she usually just wanders around in jeans and a T shirt. She wears a lot of jewelry, though that’s more of a love of shiny things than actually liking accessories. She very rarely wears makeup.
look alike;; Ellen Page

' WINDOWS TO THE SOUL;;

Actually crying herself
Being forced to do stuff
Backing down from something
Giving up
Large crowds
Consistent beeping
Sharp objects
Getting blamed
Being annoyed
Being talked down to
The annoying popular people
Having to deal with annoying/stupid people
Having to be quiet for extended periods of time
really good at;; She doesn’t give a hoot about what other people think about her, so she is immune to peer pressure. She’ll just be herself, no matter what. She also doesn’t mind being on her own, so she doesn’t get all depressed when she is alone. She’s a smart girl, though it may not seem like it, and she’s very determined.
kinda bad at;; She has a very strange, abrasive personality to most people. She’ll say things that will get her in trouble, because she doesn’t think about what she says. She also doesn’t know when to be quiet, and thinks its fun to get on people’s nerves. Obviously, this is not a desirable personality trait. She’s also socially inept, and doesn’t handle large groups of people well.
those little things;; Cicada is extremely hyperactive, and finds it hard to sit still. When she is sitting, she’ll tap her fingers or kick her legs under the table. When she’s thinking, she’ll tilt her head to the side, and sometimes bite her lip. When she’s nervous, she’ll run her hands through her hair a lot.
goals;; To become a dragon tamer in Romania for a start. Then go to New Zealand to study Antipodean Opaleye dragons.
one little blurb;; Cicada is often described as being like a dragonfly: just flitting from one topic to the next without bothering to slow down. She has very extreme moods, so when she’s happy, she’s an obnoxiously cheerful person who talks super fast in a high pitched voice. When she’s upset, she starts screaming and threatening people, though she is literally all bark and no bite. She’s pretty much accepted the fact that most people are terrified of her craziness/think she’s too uncool to hang out with, and she’s okay with that. She’s picky about other people, and though she’ll talk to just about anybody, she only calls a few her real friends.
three descriptive adjectives;; Loud, artistic, insane
overall personality;; Cicada is not a bad person. Really, she’s not. However, she has a tendency to get into trouble, usually because of her mouth. She tends to annoy people with her over exuberant personality, and some people get annoyed with her. She is loud and boisterous, but oddly enough, a loner. This is probably because most see her as crazy and weird; a girl who dresses in bright colors and chats amicably with anything about anything.

Despite the fact that she seems like an air head (and a particularly dim one, at that) she’s actually quite intelligent, often spending her free time reading or writing. However, she prefers to utilize her intelligence towards learning about things she’s interested in, like animals, rather than her school work. And of course, its not the boring, fluffy animals she’s interested in. It’s the venomous spiders, poisonous snakes, and deadly jaguars that attract her attention, to name but a few. She doesn’t fail in school, but she’s not a genius either. She’s also very creative and artistic, and simply loves to draw. She’ll draw just about anything, and is fairly good at looking at something, then drawing it accurately. She also likes to write things like poems and stories, but most of them don’t make a lot of sense. She particularly likes found poems, where you take the writings of somebody else and arrange them in your own order.

This girl is not that complicated, really. She’s loud, she’s weird, but she’s a generally nice person. She loves to use sarcasm, and employs what she calls ‘verbal abuse’ in arguments, since she could never actually beat somebody up. Though nobody would go so far as to call her witty, she is clever enough to run mental circles around many who have tried to get into arguments with her. Though she doesn’t have a lot of friends, the few she has will be one of the most important things to her. However, as mentioned before, those who don’t consider her a friend usually want to kill her because of something she’s said or done.

Cicada is extremely clumsy. She’s the kind of person who falls flat while walking on a flat surface. However, that doesn’t stop her from running around like a hyperactive maniac. She loves being spastic, and will in fact do things to purposely make her seem like even more of a weirdo than she normally is. She loves to climb, crawl under, or swing from things, though she’s bound to hurt herself. She doesn’t like going out to parties, drinking, or smoking, so she’s a bit different in that respect too. She’s also incredibly naïve, though she doesn’t see that as much of a problem.

' DIG THROUGH MY POCKETS;;

wand;; 10”, crushed sphinx talon core, moon-bleached rowan wood
most valued possession;; Her notebook. It’s full of her random doodles, poems, and other suck creative writings. Some of the stuff in there is personal, and she would die if she lost it.
broomstick;; Secondhand Comet 180
patronus;; Platypus
mirror of erised;; Her family being all together again. Her mom’s great, but she misses having a dad sometimes.
boggart;; Failure—Cicada feels that if you fail too badly at something, people lose any expectations that you’ll be able to succeed
Fire—though she does like setting things on fire, the thought of being on fire creeps her out.
Dogs—Giant canines with huge, sharp teeth that could rip out your throat? She’ll stick with cats, thanks.
amortentia;; Cinnamon, the ocean, garlic

' HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS;;

hometown;; Manchester, England
parents;;
Mother—Anastasia Zelia
Father—Logan Anevay—divorced and MIA
siblings;;
Oldest brother, Calix. A 21 year old Muggle.
Older brother, Gryphon. He’s a seventh year at Hogwarts.
Younger brother, Zephyr. Currently a fourth year at Hogwarts.
other family;; Mother’s parents, Nikolas and Iris Zelia. Mother’s sister, Acacia.
pets;; The love of Cicada’s life is her pet Kneazle, a magical creature that looks like a cross between a mangy cat and a mini lion. She bought hers when he was already an adult, and thus is rather like a grumpy old man. He’s very obstinate and hates everybody, except for Cicada, and like most Kneazles is very intelligent. Much of the time, it seems like he is keeping an eye on Cicada, rather than the other way around. His full name is Montesquieu Voltaire Locke-Hobbes II, but Cicada usually calls him Monty.
history;;Cicada’s story is actually fairly standard, if you take into account that she’s a witch and her and her siblings have ridiculously weird names. Her mother, Anastasia, is Greek, and her father British. She grew up in Manchester, though spent a lot of her vacations visiting family in Greece. She’s the second youngest in a group of four kids, and is the only girl. Her mother, in an attempt to hold on to Grecian culture, was the one to name all of the kids, hence the names Calix, Gryphon, Zephyr, and Cicada. It never seemed to bother her that her children’s names are literally ‘handsome,’ a mythical beast, the west wind, and an insect.

However, names really have little relevance in the life of Cicada. Her mother was the stereotypical Greek: loud, boisterous, and vivacious. Gryphon and Cicada took after her in that respect, though Calix and Zephyr seemed to be the ones born with their father’s common sense. Cicada grew up fairly happy; as the only girl, she was adored by her two older brothers, more so when they found out she was quite a tomboy and liked getting in trouble with them. When Anastasia was pregnant with her fourth child, her husband, Logan, simply disappeared. Cicada was three at the time, and hadn’t understood what was going on. Calix had been eight, and Gryphon four, and both seemed to have a fair understanding of their father’s betrayal. Though Anastasia was devastated, she had persevered, raising four children the best she could on her own. They were never wealthy, but they were content.

As the children grew up, weird things began to happen around the youngest three. Whenever they were angry, vases would shatter or picture frames would fall off the walls. A few times, Calix had run to their mother, fearfully reporting that they were making things float. Anastasia always brushed these things away as coincidence, and taught the children to do the same. Though they knew they were at least a bit different, it didn’t seem enough to worry about.

As Cicada grew up, she had a fascination with magic. She loved stories about mythology and wizards, and would beg Calix or Anastasia to read her stories about such things. The first book she read was about King Arthur, and she would often be found outside playing some game with her brothers about dragons and fairies and elves. Things continued fairly standard for the Zelia family until Gryphon was eleven.

On Gryphon’s eleventh birthday, just as the family was plying him with presents and cake, they heard a knock on the door. Cicada had skipped over to answer it, and been greeted by a funny looking man in strange robes. Cicada’s first question had been, “Are you a wizard?” and, though she had been kidding, he looked surprised. She had let him in, and he asked for Gryphon. He explained that he was, indeed, a wizard, and he worked at a school for magic people. He said that Gryphon was one of those magic people, someone referred to as Muggleborn, meaning they were born from non-magic parents. Cicada had sat by, entranced, the whole time as the man talked to Gryphon, giving him a list of school supplies and instructions for how to get them. Before the man had left, Cicada had asked if she was a wizard too. He had grinned and said possibly, but she’d have to wait until she was eleven.

That year of waiting was excruciating for Cicada. She grew even more obsessed with this magic, writing using the owl post whenever Gryphon sent letters home. Her letters were always a few pages long, and full of questions. Obligingly, Gryphon answered the best he could, often sending over strange magic things, like quills and needles that used to be matches and weird candy that made you hover. Finally, it was her eleventh birthday.

Cicada had tried to act nonchalant, but the whole day was spent in a knot of worry. After all, Calix wasn’t a wizard, wasn’t it possible that she wasn’t one too? However, she needn’t have worried; at around noon, there was a knock on the door. She flew to it and yanked it open, grinning wide enough to split her face as she greeted the wizard who had visited last year. He had given his spiel again, with Cicada peppering him with questions a mile a minute.

Cicada has gone to Hogwarts since her first year, and has loved it. She was sorted into the same house as Gryphon, so they saw each other a lot. She found she was great at Charms adored Care of Magical Creatures, but was horrible at Potions. Before her second year, her mom took her and Gryphon to Diagon Alley to get pets. She had instantly been drawn towards a pen full of baby Kneazles, all of whom were playful and adorable. However, Cicada noticed the amber eyes of an older one staring at her balefully. She stuck her hand through the bars of his cage, and the first thing he did was bite her, then lick her hand. Cicada had made her choice. Gryphon had gotten a Fwooper (type of magical bird) and named her Melpomene. A year later, Zephyr was accepted to Hogwarts, though he was put in a different house than his siblings.

Cicada rolled onto her back, then side, then back again, finally flipping all the way over on her stomach. Her hair fell in front of her face, and she blew it out of the way with an annoyed huff. She grabbed her pillow and smashed it over her head, as if to get all the fluffy sleepiness in there. Her blankets were tangled around her legs, and her comforter was on the ground. None of this was very good, but the worst part for Cicada was that it was almost two in the morning.

Normally, Cicada could sleep just fine. However, sometimes her brain got mad at her, and refused to let her sleep. She had been trying since 11 to fall asleep, and so far everything had failed. She had tried moving, counting sheep, counting the grass that the sheep were eating, everything. The soft breathing/snores of her roommates only made her situation even more pathetic.

“Phoo,” Cicada muttered, irritated. She finally decided to get up and go outside, and read. Technically, she wasn’t supposed to leave her room after a certain time. However, she figured that many other students left their rooms after hours for more nefarious purposes than insomnia-induced reading. After quickly disentangling her legs from the sheets. Cicada stood up, arching her back and wincing as it popped. She quickly grabbed her book from the table next to her bed, slid on her slippers, and padded out of the room, carefully making her way outside.

Unlike many of the other girls, Cicada’s pajamas actually covered up more than they revealed. She figured the others were under the impression that at some point in the future, all of the guys would storm the girl’s dormitories and hastily pick out their mates for life, based on how little they wore for sleep wear. Having no faith in this belief, Cicada dressed comfortably for bed. She had on a huge flannel shirt that came down to her mid calves and long, swirly pajama bottoms that reached beyond her feet and dragged behind her on the ground. She made her way over to the courtyard, figuring there wouldn’t be anybody hanging around out there. Plus, there were benches, so she wouldn’t have to sit on the wet grass.

She curled up on one of the benches, and opened the book. It was a book by one of her favorite authors, Ray Bradbury. It was called Farenheit 451, and was about book burning. This alone fascinated Cicada, mostly because she wanted to read about the end to the book burning. In Cicada’s mind, burning books was akin with homicide in monstrousness. She opened to the first page, and shuddered at the first 6 words: It was a pleasure to burn.Thoroughly intrigued, Cicada began reading with earnest. She fell deep into the book, and was startled when she heard footsteps. More than startled actually; she leapt about a foot in the air and squeaked. “Whossat?” she asked, her voice thick with lack of sleep. She was also a tiny bit angry; after all, who disturbed people who were reading outside at 2:30 in the morning?
