Elle is Ryder's neighbour, and through a mutual dislike of all things creepy and crawly, became friends when Elle called on Ryder to kill beetles and spiders and other such bugs. Since then, the two have grown to be inseparable best friends, and Ryder's not adverse to a bit of harmless flirting.

In reality, it's probably nothing to do with Elle herself. Daisy just has an aversion to pretty girls, particularly those that are chummy with the few cute guys at the university.
They don't cross paths much, being in different schools, but on the off chance their paths do cross, Daisy will probably just ignore Elle or go by with a sarcastic smile. The mobile telephone is a useful tool, also, as pretending to be in a phonecall with some hot Swiss model does wonders for the self-esteem, particularly since Daisy's so narrowminded to think that people are actually jealous of her for it.
Thank God these two live in separate buildings, that's all I have to say!

Tell me why: Nadi's mischievous streak has gotten them both into plenty of interesting situations, though they'd be more likely to rob a Hershey's factory than a bank any day of the week. No, really, it's mostly harmless fun, and we don't get caught...mostly. Nadi's definitely the wilder of the two. Elle's like the angel on her shoulder. They met in Mass Communications class, and Nadya was struggling badly at the beginning because of her fear of public speaking. Elle helped her conquer the fear enough to pass the class with a fairly good grade, and so the two became close friends. Nadi would do just about anything for Elle, since she's the first person that really and truly befriended her at Branstone.
