Confusion was clearly written along contorted features, a lightness present that hadn't been there in such a long time as she looked at him. His comment was something of a cyptic nature, and she couldn't help but smile at it. A comment that would be passed confidently through her own lips if she found herself within a place where pain didn't dwell. Now, it didn't - the man before her had latched onto it, only to be suffering her own demise that moment. It was something that she wouldn't wish onto anyone, considering the pain that she held onto went deep. Deep enough to cut through the toughest skin while leaving a punture that would only be the mishap of death in its own right. It was something that had been holding onto for years now, holding on so tight and expecting that if she ever let go that she would fall along the ground with death by her side. It was something that she couldn't let herself feel, knowing tears would cut lines along tanned cheeks; carving their path and leaving a trail for the others to follow. It was something that she wouldn't put herelf through, she couldn't - not again.

I'm sure that your opinion would change over time - everyone's does. The statement was a bit darker than the mood that currently carried her, You aren't the only one that holds a secret. The smile that was once in place had fallen as her gaze while her head bowed and caught the sight of the carpet beneath her. His question caught her attention though, and she moved to push forward - gathering her jacket on her way out, considering it possessed the keys to her apartment within the pockets. Sure. A walk sounds great. A small smile pressed firmly along her lips, moving to fall inline with him as he moved to open the door. Slipping through, eyes closed for a moment to welcome the chill that dwelled within the night's air. There was something about the air of the night - cool and crisp, it was almost as if she welcomed it with open arms. Ready for that nice breeze that gathered along her cheek, daring anyone to come in contact.

A light chuckled sounded then, a smile on her lips, Alright, I promise not to refer to you as the empath, Lucas. Her gaze dropped as she pulled the jacket into place, curling up against the fabric before he ended her sentence for her, Leeched? So, you're like a parasite? A light smile continued to touch her lips, teasing the man a bit and noting the fact that her personality was slowly beginning to find it's way home. I'm kidding. It must be hard, though - having to be careful to not touch someone in fear of gathering their emotion. The statement sounded then, noting the glove that was now present over his hand.

He expected the pessimistic under tones Blair added to her exit and only had a shrug in response. He had felt the pain circulating her system understood it's depth and maybe that's why he didn't retract or deny her statement. It was more of a if you think so kind of attitude. He had this feeling he wouldn't change his mind to the darker view of this female, it might change but not in the way she figured or maybe even counted on. He was grateful to see she had followed and moved down the streets, hands firmly and forever tucked away in silence until needed. Though need was a word he didn't use often and one that seemed well...unneeded. "Oh trust me i'm the biggest parasite you'll ever meet." it was put devilishly but amusement was twisted into his phrasing of the topic. he wasn't used to the subject matter being on himself; when you hardly knew yourself how was that even a possible subject in general?

"I mean it's life...what more is there? I'm sure things are hard for you in other areas." though honestly it was a large pain in the ass to avoid people. Not that he was aiming for any sort of intimacy but a handshake was taken for granted by most, but not Lucas. Every time he could even brush past a person in public without gaining their life storyboard of anger pain love and disgust was a lovely sort of outing. As of right now he was walking beside a sad girl who couldn't find any source of joy that he could see anyways.

"Besides takes away the risk factor of germs right?" it was a joke but put amost bitterly as he crossed the street and a yawn was thrown into the air. Sleep had avoided him for almost a week and chasing after it seemed worthless at best, why bother? This was better then sleep anyhows, "Tell me more about yourself Blair." it was slightly airy but intent all the same.
