o h . a n d . i . r u s h . t o . t h e . s t a r t ` WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO CREATE A PROJECT THAT HUNTS HIS OWN KIND ? ) SUBMITTED BY TYRELLANSWER : very cool idea. that's a definite yes. ` ARE THOSE FREE ID NUMBERS THE ONLY ONES AVAILABLE TO PROJECTS ? ) SUBMITTED BY K.C.EXPANDED QUESTION : I ask because the lists all cap out at number 27. How is it that in 30 years of potentially lethal research only 27 subjects were created? each project line would have likely created/acquired/recruited multiple subjects right off the bat and given the nature of the research and the apparent disregard for the fact that the subjects were human. I just find it odd that 27 is so universal...
ANSWER : i put it at a uniform twenty-seven because i figured that we wouldn't actually fill all of the categories. twenty-seven is the cut-off point, so if one category runs out, it'll be unavailable until the others catch up to some degree. i didn't want fifty zeus projects and two or three of the rest. if all of them fill up at an even pace, then more available id numbers will be added. but at the moment, those are the only id numbers available ^__^ also, the projects were only assigned numbers after they were deemed successful. there were scores of others who died without having numbers. ` WERE ANY OF THE PROJECTS SENT OVER TO THE WAR TO BE TESTED THERE ? ) SUBMITTED BY KATIEEXPANDED QUESTION : You know cause the enviorment and conditions are different, wouldn't it be another step in the experiment to see how they would react to what they were "made" for. and if so, about how many would have been sent? Since the projects have been going on for about 30 years, would it only have been a few, or many?
ANSWER : there never really was an actual war. they were simply on the brink of a war. just think of it as something similar to the cold war; never actually a war, but always a threat of one. ` IS THERE A LIMIT ON HOW MANY POWERS YOU CAN HAVE ? ) SUBMITTED BY UNKNOWNEXPANDED QUESTION : I was looking through some applications and I noticed some people had 5 powers that are totally different from one another and that's a real turn off for me. I'll be fine with like 3 or 2 powers, but they have to somehow mix in with the primary power. Or is that not the way you do that here?
ANSWER : there's a limit of two major powers and three minor powers. they're separated into groups in the extra information thread found here. the powers have to be remotely similar, though we don't require that they deal with the same element. because the projects are artificially made, it's plausible that the scientists would give them varying abilities, but we don't want the differences to get too extreme. ` IF MY POWER IS BROAD, DO I HAVE TO PUT DOWN ALL OF THE SUB-POWERS ? ) SUBMITTED BY YAKATSUEXPANDED QUESTION : I wanted my character to have the biological manipulation ability, but it's sort of broad. A lot of the other major and minor powers sort of fall into that category. Do I have to put them down too?
ANSWER : no, you don't have to put all of the different abilities down ^__^ though i'd prefer that you'd limit the powers a bit. just don't give him everything that falls under the biological manipulation category and i'll be happy ^__^ ` I WAS WONDERING HOW THE SIBLING THING WORKS . ) SUBMITTED BY GRANTEXPANDED QUESTION : I want my character to have a sister that h doesn't know about who's a bit younger than he is. Do they continue to use the same women to give birth to the various exiperments? And if not, can there be an exception?
ANSWER : certain women did have more than one child for testing, so it's possible that he have a younger sister. the women volunteered to be carriers, so if they were still willing, merck would continue to allow them to have the children. ^^ ` FOR TRITON PROJECTS, CAN THEIR OBJECTS BE REMOVED, AND IS THE OBJECT TYPE UP FOR ME TO CHOOSE ? ) SUBMITTED BY MIKEANSWER : the difficulty of removing it may vary. some people with this ability can only remove it themselves, while others cannot. if the canon list states that the object is irremovable, than nothing can remove it. if the canon list says nothing about that, then you can use your own discretion to choose how difficult it is to remove it (though, if the canon list doesn't say it's irremovable, that means that the object is able to be removed). the canon list gives the general type of the object, such as an amulet or a ring, but you can decide the specifications of that object. ` HOW DO WE CHOOSE WHICH SCIENTISTS OVERSAW THEIR PROGRESS ? ) SUBMITTED BY MIKEANSWER : you just leave that space blank if a canon isn't specified or if an original hasn't signed up as a scientist for the character's specific project. if there is a scientist for your project, you put their name down as their scientist. ` WHAT EXACTLY CONSTITUTES THE ASTRAL PLANE ACCORDING TO S&RM VERSE ? ) SUBMITTED BY UNKNOWNEXPANDED QUESTION : Like whether or not they can interact with the real world while on the astral plane and if there is a limit to where they can project their astral selves to.
ANSWER : the astral plane can only be reached through the separation of conscience and body, so essentially people travel through the astral plane in spirit form. those who are coming from this plane can't enter our world without a body, so i'd say that once on the astral plane, you have to return to your body to interact with the physical world. you can, though, communicate with people in the physical world through dreams. i wouldn't say that there's a limit to where they can project themselves in the context of the astral plane. the furthest into the physical world that they can go, though, is into the dreams of others residing there.
