Night. Most ancient legends and myths state that night is when the evil, malicious beasts and beings come out. It's the time when little boys and girls shouldn't play, they could lost or worse, kidnapped. The night has often symbolized mystery, the unknown. It's dark and won't discriminate on who it takes in and steals. If one isn't fast asleep in a safe, cozy place, there's no telling what or who might take you away. These reasons and more were why Hogwarts' students weren't allowed out after dark. There were too many dangers lurking everywhere, and the one thousand year old school wasn't going to risk its students lives. So on this night in October, most likely every student was sleeping soundly in their beds. All except for the "special" students, the vampires. The cold ones, the ones that couldn't sleep a wink even if they tried. They were allowed to lurk the grounds and castle, to stay up with the ghosts and caretaker.

Vivienne D'eath was traveling through the corridors at a rather fast pace. Though there were many hours of night left and there was no need to rush, she was doing so anyway. She had a destination in mind and she was going to get there. As she glided through the hallways, so daintily even a fairy would cry, she scanned her surroundings. There seemed to be no one else in the hallways; no vampire, no ghost, no prefect, no professors. It was rather odd, the corridors at night always had someone lurking in them, ready to catch any student who was out of bed. That thought always annoyed Vivienne, authority was just so irritating.

Descending down the staircase with a grace to be matched against gods, she continued her travels to the giant, oak doors and with almost no energy at all, pushed the right door open with one hand. She swing of the door brought a cool breeze to meet her, dancing through her blonde hair and around her pale, white body. She smiled slightly with this peaceful greeting. Shutting the door, she began to run towards the Forbidden Forest. Though one could hardly call it a run, there wasn't a word for the pace she was sprinting at. All one could say is that Vivienne reached the forest in one second. The trip would usually take at least five minutes.

Without any precaution, she silently stepped into the forest, not one wave of fear coursing through her. Fear was a thing of the past for Vivienne, something that occurred when she was human. Not now, not when she immortal and physically powerful. What in this forest would threaten her life? Nothing. She was convinced that she was probably the most menacing thing within a mile radius.

She slowed her sprint to a stroll through the woods. Her plan wasn't to go very far in, just enough so that she felt she had some privacy. Finally, she found a nice stone boulder and sat her slender body upon it. Moonlight protruded through the tree's branches in random parts of the forest, illuminating her milky skin in various areas. Vivienne rested her chin upon her right hand and looked out into the dark abyss. Another long night was ahead of her, and this was all she had to keep her entertained.
