Here reside the dormitories for the gryffindor students, since the base of the tower is on the seventh floor.

The owlery is located here, the tower has no windows to fill the holes in the walls, therefore giving the room a very cold atmosphere at certain times of the year.

The wise and intelligent rest their minds here, a relaxed and laid back area for them to get to work in a silent atmosphere, or to just take a break from all of the hard work they do.

astronomy tower
The classroom lies in the tallest tower at hogwarts, it also serves great purpose for a spectacular site in the dead of night. Though it may be used for recreational activity at such dark hours, also, if you catch my drift.
