Especially as teenagers, notes fly; for roleplayers, they are common fillers to lead up to more major events. Besides, if your character is bored, and there is nothing to do, what better way to pass the time than by acquainting themselves with a stranger or chatting with an old friend?

dungeons
Home to the slytherin and hufflepuff students. Who even came up with that combo? That's horrible. Oh well. It's hard and sometimes dank, but they like it enough. Despite horrible rumors, the dungeons are not as bad as people like to think.

Entrance hall, the food in the great hall; who wouldn't love hogwarts already? Well, a few might not, but that's fine... I guess. Make your way down to the great hall and get ready for sorting. Already been sorted? Great! Sit down and have chats with those you already know.

second floor
On this floor, you will find many more empty classrooms and abandoned corridors. You will also find the DADA class. And if you're unlucky you might come face to moaning myrtle since her bathroom is located on this floor. Can't you just hear the moaning and groaning?

Up on this floor, you will find a disturbing statue of a humpbacked witch which is actually a secret passage to hogsmeade. You might also find the forbidden corridor which is OFF limits. We have the charms classroom here and the nice shiny trophy's room; and most importantly, we have the newly re-located hospital wing.

fourth floor
Welcome to the fourth floor. Here we have the staircase to the prefect's bathroom, and the outstandingly popular library. So if you have a huge essay due and need to get some information about some creature or spell then come to the library, they have a nice stock of spell books, and history books, and, well-- did you expect something by Eric Carle?

fifth floor
This is where the prefect's bathroom, quite a grandiose room really, is located, but if you're a boy and alone you better watch for moaning myrtle she loves to "peek" around. Don't forget to check out the Ancient Runes room, either.

sixth floor
There is really not that much here besides empty classrooms where many students spend time snogging. Oh, of course, transfiguration class is up here too; just hope the the transfiguration teacher doesn't find you snogging someone else on top of a table in an empty classroom.

seventh floor
The gryffindor common room is located here, right behind the portrait of the lovely Fat Lady. The Room of Requirement is also located here so if you need a secret meeting place or something of the sort just come to this room. And remember to get in you have to really want the room for something.

towers
At night, some people like to get away to the astronomy tower, or to the roof to look at the stars. It's beautiful. the ravenclaw common room is up here too.

the black lake
The black lake is a murky lake, that has mermaids and other various creatures swimming around in it. Students like to watch the sunset from atop the rocks at the shore, or even wade a little in it or go all out swimming; during winter, it makes for a lovely skating rink.

The quidditch pitch is of course, where the quidditch games and practices are held. It's the sport of the magical world, and everyone comes to the games.. unless they are in detention.

the whomping willow
Possibly best known for it's brutality, but awfully respected by the professors, the whomping willow has been around for quite a while. It's waving branches cause havoc to those that come near, and often take out a few birds in it's wake. Though, if you dare near it, do mind that you can stop it's virulence by pressing the knot on the front of it's trunk.

Here lies the herbology class, a class fit for those into botany and plants alike. There are quite a few greenhouses, so feel free to check out the mysterious plants inside during your free time.

hagrid's hut
The old, now somewhat dilapidated, hut of hogwart's previous gamekeeper. The surrounding areas are still used to teach care of magical creatures, and care of dangerous creatures has also been added to the curriculum. Be warned -- there have been some strange sightings around this shack late at night, and some eerie noises have been heard. Hogwart's own shrieking shack? Quite possibly.

honeydukes' sweet shop
Sweetshop, owned by Ambrosius Flume and his wife, who live over the shop; an entrance to one of the secret tunnels from Hogwarts is in the cellar under a trap door. Honeydukes not only sells a wide variety of sweets, they also make their own fudge and enormous blocks of chocolate.

madame puddifoot's
A small, cramped tea shop with decor on the tacky side of frilly, filled with small circular tables, located on a side street off the High Street; the only Hogwarts students who seem to patronize the place are trysting couples. The owner uses a revoltingly sappy decor for Valentine's Day (floating golden cherubs occasionally throwing pink confetti.)

the hog's head
A small inn in Hogsmeade, on a side street off the main street, much dirtier (and attracting a more, er, interesting, clientèle) than the Three Broomsticks. The bar consists of a single small, dirty room smelling strongly of something that might be goats; while students are permitted to go in, they're advised to bring their own glasses.

A great spot to drink butterbeer, although they also serve gillywater, mulled mead, red currant rum, and even cherry syrup and soda with ice and an umbrella. There are tables, booths, and a mirror over the bar.

the shrieking shack
Reputed to be the most haunted house in Britain, the Shrieking Shack gets its name from the terrifying screams and noises heard coming from it some twenty years ago. The Shack has been silent for years, but the reputation lives on. The windows are completely boarded up. Outside the house is a dank, overgrown garden. The entrances are all sealed and for years it has been the place where only the toughest go.
