The World As You Know It Has Been Destroyed. The humans carried on making their mistakes, again and again. Global warming became more of a concern, more of a problem, but by the time anyone was motivated to make a change, it was already too late. The ice caps melted, the world flooded. People died.
However, unknown to the majority of mankind, two new species were being created, genetically engineered to suit their new environments. First, the Avians, great winged creatures of the sky, living on the mountaintops the water could not touch. And secondly, the Llyr, great sea snakes of the deep, inhabiting the now sunken cities: London; New York; Sydney; Venice.
There was a side effect to this engineering however, the Llyr did not have to maintain their form indefinitely. They were gifted with the ability to morph, to change into something very close to their original human shape. They could walk on land with the Avians; the two species could live in peace and harmony; the Llyr to rule over the Ocean, the Avians ruling the sky. They would meet on the small areas of land left over, on equal footing, creating bonds of friendship and tolerance.
However, little did they know a War was brewing. A group of rebels, Llyr and Avians alike, infected with a mutation known as The Taint, had gathered together, and were making plans to overthrow these two young societies.
After all, the Tainted were outcasts, social pariahs, no one wanted to come near them. The rebels goal was to carve a place for themselves in this new world by any means necessary. They would stop at nothing to be viewed better than those who had mocked them. Equality was not their goal, an overthrowing of the current powers was.
And so, War was declared.
Now utopia is falling apart, paradise is lost. Friends have become enemies, bonds that were once thought unbreakable are now failing. The two races that were meant to be mankind’s salvation are slowly killing themselves, destroying all dreams for the future.
And now there is just one question begging to be asked.
Now Paradise Has Been Lost, Which Side Will You Choose?
