THE ` RULES
Please read all of the following rules. If you do not then you will not be accepted and you are susceptible to banishment for breaking of said rules. So please, read them it’s only 5 minutes of your life.
Rules for Registration - Before registering you must have read the all the rules and the plot carefully.
If you do not know the plot then you will not be able to cooperate with the rest of the board and if you do not read the rules then you may be banned for unruly behavior.
- Register with a proper name.
Not your name, your characters name. However, before registering please check the Canon Characters list and reserve the character you want and then register with their name. Make sure it doesn't have any 'Mrs' or 'Mr' etc in the name and make it a proper name like Harry Potter and unlike 'iloveHP2006' or 'cedrics_grl'. Please also register with no capitals and a middle name.
- Be active.
Make sure when you register and post your character application that you will be active. It is very annoying if someone registers and then leaves that character for a month without it being active as someone else might want that character. If you are going away please post in the OCC section that you’ll be away and let us know for how long.
- Only post in Character Registration
You cannot post anywhere else other then there until you have been approved by an admin. This is your only warning
Rules for Character Applying - Check the Canon Characters list.
Like I have said, check the canon characters list and reserve the character you are interested in. It’s very crucial that we have canons because without them the site cannot function properly. Also please note, we are currently only accepting canons until future notice.
- Don't make your character a Mary-Sue or Gary Stu.
A Mary-Sue and Gary Stu is a perfect character who is handsome, clever, kind, sporty, can't go wrong, all at once. No-one is like that.
- Please make your profile a good length.
Try to give at least 2 paragraphs in all sections, except maybe likes and dislikes.
- You can have as many characters as you can handle
I don’t care if you have 1 or 10 characters, but be sure to know that if you do not keep up with all these characters there will be consequences.
- Character Checks
These will happen every month. Canons will be deleted if they have been inactive for more then 2 weeks without notice and OC’s will be deleted after a month if they have been inactive. You have been warned. Definition of inactivity: Not posting in character for the specific amount of time.
- Signatures and Avatars
One of your first priorities after registering on the board is to get yourself a signature and avatar. If you do not know where to get them or how to make them, request them in the graphics forum and someone will make them for you. Also please note your signature cannot be any longer then 550 they stretch the board to no end. And I also must ask that you keep the height under 550 px as well. Avatars have a restriction of 120x200. No cartoons or anime please. Real people only *Note* Be sure to claim your model. Without a claim it is possible that someone else will use them and claim them and at that point they are entitled to use the model and you will have to change yours.
- Ratios
If you have 2 females I have to ask you to not make another female until you make a male that way we keep the ratio up. Also, you cannot have more then 2 characters in the same group unless they are all canon.
Rules for Role-Playing - All posts must be in the third person.
You must not type your posts in the 'I' form even though you are the character. Do not type in between ** signs. For example *Peter ran and crashed* *Peter cried*. A good example would be: Peter ran around the corner and, not noticing the broom cupboard, crashed right into it. Pain soared through his leg making tears trickle down his face. (and I'd just like to note that Peter is clearly a pussy.)
- Make your posts a decent length.
It's very hard to carry on a story if the previous post was just a few sentences. You need to explain the character's feelings and put in a few actions and if needed put in speech. Any posts which are less than ten lines will be deleted. If you see a post which is less than ten lines please do not reply to it, but post that it was too short and let an admin know. It's not fun to RP with someone who doesn't give you anything to work with.
- Please keep to the tags.
In the topic description, if someone has posted Tag Harry Potter, only Harry Potter and the topic starter may post in that topic. Tagging makes the topic private between certain characters. If it says open or nothing then you may post.
- Please keep all OOC talk and spam to the OOC forum.
If it is ABSOLUTELY necessary you may post a quick comment along with your RP post, but make sure to separate it from the other text with some sort of RP divider such as OOC:, (()), //\\. Don't have like 1 paragraph of RP and 3 paragraphs of OOCness. That's just cruel and unusual punishment for your partner.
- This Board is rated R.
Don't like it don't look. Sex, drugs, rock and roll... It's all here. From fuck to fuck me. You can be smutty because everyone's so fucking horny on RP sites. God knows why, so people have sex. Lots of sex, animal sex. PLUS there's tons of prostitutes running around so seriously... there's sex, drugs and swearing. Deal with it. Though, as a note from Kyleigh... I'd really,really,really prefer if you guys didn't use c*nt. I don't like that word, it's the only word I don't like. So if you could avoid using it, that's great.
- Killing
Your character cannot be killed unless previously agreed upon by the admins and yourself (duh.)
Rules for Out Of Character - No spamming.
Spamming is when you post useless and irrelevant posts, like just one smiley and it is very annoying. If you are caught at it you will be warned and three warnings leads to a ban.
- R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Respect must be shown for all, I repeat, ALL members of the board, whether they are an administrator, newbie or anything in between. Members should note that if someone insults you in Role Play, their character is insulting your character; they are not insulting you and offense shouldn't be taken. If someone does insult you out of character, report it to an administrator immediately.
