No school is complete without their typical emo. Avrill is the only one
in the school who’s seemingly depressed (or emotional as he’ll
correct you). Black hair, bangs, tight pants, painted nails… the
whole shebang. People figure he’s doing it for attention but some
speculate he might actually be unhappier here then everyone else.
After all Talbott is practically a wannabe Pleasantville, and the
married life after high school is not for everyone.

The Beals were the only African-American family welcomed into Talbott.
The government was unsure of whether they could eliminate
racism all together so they only selected one family to participate
in the experiment. So far, as far as they can tell, there have been
no problems between the Caucasian families and the Beals- perhaps
they’ll bring in more African-Americans some day soon. For now
the Beals are happily adjusted to Talbott and don’t plan on leaving
any time soon. They’re actually one of the few who like it here.

Beckett, Rose Celia

Miss Beckett is the girl next door. She’s everyone’s best friend,
she’s beautiful and yet she doesn’t want to date anyone.
Guys lust after her but she has absolutely no interest in
love right now. Currently she’s focusing on her academics
in hopes that maybe the government will release them from
Talbott so they can attend a university (but it’s very unlikely
as there have already been graduates who are still stuck behind
the walls). Everyone’s too afraid to bring her hopes down
because she’s such a sweet girl.

Have you ever seen the tv-show Recess? Do you remember the
character ‘Randall’? That is who Dalton is. She is the kiss-ass
of the school, complete over achiever. She’s the one who when
she gets her tests back will cry if it’s under an 85% (even then
85 is pushing it). She needs to be the best and doesn’t care who
she steps on to get there. Her life aspiration? Become a government
worker for the experiment. Way to dream big Miss Dalton.

Edgecumbe, Aric Benjamin

Is it cliché to say Trouble is his middle name?
Maybe, but it’s true. Edgecumbe is the resident bad boy. If there’s
a fight going down, Edgecumbe probably has his hand in things.
He smokes, he does drugs (on occasion), he has unprotected sex,
he fist fights anyone who says something bad about him or his friends,
he drinks and he’s a hardcore smart ass. While we’re being cliché he
is definitely the boy your mother warned you about. Don’t mess with
him if you’ve got a clean record, he has a tendency to corrupt those
innocent folk.

Fanshaw, Nicholas Jasper

Fanshaw is that hot nerd that every girl pines over but he’s terrified of the
other sex because last time he said hi to a girl he had a break
out that even proactiv couldn’t cure. So he opts to stay in the
library where he’s safest despite the fact that his younger brother
has gotten more action then him. Maybe he’ll grow a pair soon
and move out of that awkward teen phase and ask a girl out.
Especially with prom coming up so fast- no one likes to graduate a virgin.

Foote is the school blonde. Everyone keeps her around because she’s good
for a good laugh. Half the time the stuff coming out of her mouth
makes you want to punch her, but people aren’t sure if she’s really
that stupid or if it’s all an act. Either way, she has a lot of ‘friends’
because she’s so ‘funny’. Not to mention she’s a nice piece of ass,
according to the male population so she’s not needy in the love
department either.

Garrison, Fitch Tobin

Garrison is your typical jock, at least he would be if Rosedale had
a sports team of some kind. His parents also helped sponser the
‘project’ giving him the same amount of wealth as the Van Nesses.
He of course uses it just as any other dumb jock would: splurges on
booze, fake ids and strippers. Every girl who has had his boots
under her bed counts herself lucky because this guy is as shallow
as they come. He won’t look twice at you if you’re not decent
looking and your breasts are smaller then C.

Harding, Jaxon Ephraim

You’d have to be blind to not be able to see how sexy Harding is.
He knows, why don’t you? Harding is one of the ‘popular’,
untouchable people of Rosedale, not by total choice. He has
always been an active member for the rebels and can often be
found in the underground partying like it’s 1999. Because of
his tendency to know so many people he just got deemed one
of the school gods, maybe the fact that Garrison was his best
friend didn’t help either. But either way he is the guy every
girl wants but can’t have.

McGilvray, Aime Holden

Juvenile Delinquent is Aime's middle name. At age
of eighteen she's already spent a couple of nights in
jail, lost a year of school to a reform center, run away
from home, smokes, drinks and has been 'loose' since
she was thirteen. Naturally she's actively part of the
rebellions that take place because it definitely wasn't
her idea to get coded and forced to live behind electric fences.

Paxton could probably compete with Van Ness for popularity
votes, but she doesn’t bother. She is fine being a follower,
more then anything she’s a social butterfly. Flying from
one group to the next. Paxton is by far the friendliest of
the popular girls. And by friendly we don’t mean ‘just
friends’. She’s friendly enough to take off her clothes
for anyone, male or female. She’s just enjoying life right
now, what’s so wrong with that? Well besides the fact
she’s Rosedale’s two-cent whore.

Riddell moved out of his house when he was 14, a month
later he heard about the sign-ups for Talbott and he was
there. Little did he know exactly what the whole town was
and by the time he was 16 he was an active member in the
rebellions, once a promising addition to the government
experiment Riddell has become a loose cannon and works
as a double agent feeding all the information he gets from
his part-time job at Big Brother’s to the rebels planning their
fight back. How long until he gets caught?

Rowe is the quiet girl, very studious and keeps her
nose out of trouble. She doesn’t mind living in Talbott,
here she doesn’t have to worry about anything other
then her studies. She idolizes the ‘popular kids’ (Van
Ness, Harding, Paxton, Garrison, Thurston) mostly
because they’re all so beautifuland outgoing… But she
couldn’t ever be like them, she doesn’t (so she believes)
have the looks, the money or the personality. So she
hides behind her books and admires from afar.

Every school needs their drug dealer. Spalding landed
the job with no competition to fight with. He’s been dealing
with drugs since before he came to Talbott with his family.
The moment he found out that drugs were more then just illegal
in this place he not only signed himself up for the rebellions,
he helped found the underground where he’s become more or
less a celebrity-esque drug king.

Miss Thurston is the try-hard of the popular kids. She bends
over backwards to do anything to make Van Ness happy. She’s
the bitch-in-training, no one would believe you if you told
them that once upon a time she used to be the nice girl-next-door
type. Now she just seems like a slutty, preppy bitch. Go figure,
look at who her best friends are. She’s convinced she’s in love
with Harding “because he’s so fabulous” too bad he couldn’t care
less about her. Ah the life of the rich and famous.

Van Ness, Ainslie Lauraine

This is the IT girl of Rosedale Heights. Her father was a
major donor to the government project, thus making
her family the wealthiest and most idolized in the
village. And Miss Van Ness couldn’t be more proud
to flaunt who she is. She’s the girl every guy wants,
and the girl every girl wants to be. She’s beautiful,
smart, popular and a total bitch behind your back. She
is the school stereotype of preppy rich girl, don’t get
in her way or she’ll make sure you can’t walk publicly
ever again.
