It was a crisp, cool Saturday afternoon and Ainslie had been out shopping. She had a considerable amount of money, and the whole of Queen Street to spend it. That was the best part about having parents who supported the government. It seemed that the Van Ness family had an endless supply of cash. She had spent nearly three hours perusing through the many stores and had several pairs of pants and a few more shirts to show for it. It was kinda difficult to find the right clothes that fit because of how tiny she was on the bottom, and how big she was on the top, if you know what I mean. She had come accustom to buying clothes, and then hiring someone to fix them up for her. For the past twenty minutes or so, Ainslie had just been walking around caring in her bags and window shopping. The wind slowly began to pick up and it got mighty chilly. Ains looked around for a place to go for shelter for a little while. She saw a place called The Express Yourself Cafe. She knew it well. "Great" she thought and smiled to herself. Coffee was just the perfect thing to warm her up from this nasty weather outside. She quickly hurried over and walked in the door.
As she opened the door a blast of warm air hit her and suddenly the smell of coffee filled her nose and she took a deep breath. She really did love the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Ainslie found an empty booth and put down all the bags before going up to the counter order. She had to wait in line for a couple minutes, seemed like everyone and their brother had the same idea she had. When she finally made it to the front of the line she ordered herself a large French vanilla cappuccino. She then slowly made her way back to the table. She sat with her hands around her cup while she looked out of the window at all the people who were still outside. Ainslie figured it would probably start raining pretty soon, hopefully it wasn't cold enough for it to snow. That was what Ainslie absolutely hated. The cold and the snow and the winter. She could seriously live without all three of those things in her life. However, she did think the snow was pretty sometimes but she didn't like the fact that cold went with it. It didn't help either that she was a mega freeze baby.
Ains took a sip of her drink and shivered as the hot liquid trickled down her throat. She reached in her pocket and pulled out her phone. No new text messages. Not like she was really expecting any though. She placed her phone down next to her on the table and pulled her iPod video out of her other pocket. Those were the two things that Ains always had with her no matter where she went. She put the ear buds in her hears and turned the iPod on. She didn't really look at what song was playing but instead just pushed play. She smiled to herself as "Falling In Love In a Coffee Shop" began playing. Perfect song for the place, though she wasn't exactly falling in love. This was one of her favorite songs. She mouthed the words as she heard them and her slender fingers quietly hit the table as if they were drums. Ains really didn't care what someone looking at her might think about her. She was having a good time and plus, she was so popular that no one would say a word for fear of their own reputations. As the song changed to one she wasn't really familiar with she stopped the drumming and instead turned to look out the window where tiny droplets of what had begun hitting the window.

Gay. Gay. Gay. Super. Fucking. Gay.
It was raining, and Fitch was merely walking to the fucking coffee shop, when out of absolutely NOWHERE, it started to rain. Hard. Fitch hated the rain. A lot. It also seemed that once it started to rain, everyone had taken cover in one building or another... Sure, Fitch had tried to duck into one or two, but because so many people were there, to be honest, the boy thought he was coming down with a case of claustrophobia... So he just had to walk in the rain to get his coffee.
What a great way to start a day, huh?
The boy burst into the coffee shop, mumbling under his breath how retarded the world was, how retarded the weather was... and of course, once he saw the line, how retarded the stupid line was. Maybe he should've taken his car... sure, Fitch thought about that... but nooo, he wanted to walk. He thought it'd be nice to walk outside. Ha. Yeah right.
Fitch avidly chewed on the inside of his cheek, his electric blue eyes scanning the menu... even though the boy knew exactly what he wanted... Now, it's not like he'd actually be able to order it in the next century, so maybe between now and then, they'd add something that actually tastes half decent... Finally becoming extremely impatient, the male walked up to the front of the line, cutting the ten year old that was obviously too shy to speak up about some older person cheating her out of her spot... Like she cared that much, anyway. "I'll have a grande latte, one cream, no sugars. Thanks," Fitch slammed down the money owed on the wooden bar-like table. He even had exact change counted out, since the boy had so much time on his hands.... Let's just say he was a little frustrated because he was drenched in water. Even his clothes, consisting of a fairly nice blue and white striped Ralph Lauren oxford, and a pair of dark-washed jeans. The oxford was untucked, as always, and the cuffs were rolled up to the boy's elbows, mainly so his arms wouldn't be drenched by the wet fabric.
Once the nervous fifteen-year-old behind the counter had gotten Fitch's latte, the male snatched it up, turned around, and looked out a nearby window. No way he was going to go out there again... but all of the seats in this god forsaken place were taken. God damn it.
And thats when his electric blue gaze laid upon Miss Van Ness. With a small smirk, he advanced toward the girl's booth, sliding in as she was lip-syncing to herself, just so she wouldn't notice him. Fitch took a sip of his coffee. Damn, was it disgusting. Nasty, in fact. Some could even call it horrendous.
The boy ran a few fingers through his drenching hair before looking out the window that was next to their booth, a little annoyed at the sudden weather change, still.

Ainslie was still rocking to the beat of this new song when Fitch had slipped ever so silently into the booth. In fact, it wasn't for another minute that she noticed him. "Fitch, love.. What are you doing here?" she asked with a playful smile. Her green-hazel eyes shut ever so lightly before flickering open once more. She placed her left elbow on the table and placed her chin on it ever-so gently, running one hand through her long pony-tail and flinging it in front of her shoulder before hand. She looked out the window."Sucky weather we're having. I hate rain. Unless you're kissing someone in the rain. Then it's alright." She laughed a little, then looked back to Fitch. He was noticeably drenched in water, she assumed from the rain. He actually looked rather... cute when he was all soaked like that. The droplets of rain, she thought, made his gorgeous blue eyes stand out.
She, of course, knew Fitch quite well, seeing as they were both seniors and both very popular people. Just by looking at him, one could tell that he was a sex god at their school. The way he looked.. his hair, his eyes, made him extremely irresistible. Even untouchable girls like Ainslie Van Ness couldn't help but secretly want a piece of him. Not that he was the love of her life, her dream boy or even her crush. No. Ainslie didn't see him like that. Just someone she desperately wanted to kiss. His lips just looked so... kissable. But she was no fool. This boy, although he was popular had a downside. She'd seen him looking at girls she would never give the time of day too. Slutty hookers like Aime Mcgilvray. Why a sexy guy like Fitch would even look at an ugly whore like that was something Ainslie was sure she'd never know.
Sweetly, she took another sip of her cappuccino. French Vanilla was, of course, her favourite flavor. Ains ran her hand through her hair once more before removing her iPod and placing it back into her Louis Vuitton 'It' Bag. One of the many expensive things she was wearing that day. Along with that high fashion accessory, she was wearing a very nice pair of Juicy Couture jeans and a shirt to match them from the same place. On her feet were a rather adorable pair of Louis Vuitton ballet flats to match her bag and on her head were a nice pair of Dior sunglasses. Unlike a lot of people, she was able to afford the best. And those pricey shoes she was wearing were exactly the reason that she wasn't going to be leaving anytime soon.

Fitch's eyes scanned some of the people walking by in the rain, who seemed just about drenched as he was, right about now... which really only made him pity their sorry asses. The male rose his cup to his lips, taking a sip of the warm latte... or whatever those coffee people called it. It was only when Ainslie spoke up that Fitch noticed that she had, well, noticed him.
"Fitch, love.. What are you doing here? Sucky weather we're having. I hate rain. Unless you're kissing someone in the rain. Then it's alright."
The boy rose his coffee cup to imply that he had gotten a coffee, one of those 'dur' kind of moments, "I come here every morning out of habit. When I have hangovers, coffee really helps for some odd reason..." The boy's dark, yet lively blue eyes shifted back toward the window, taking another minute to examine the water coming down before responding to Ainslie, once again, "To be honest, I think the whole kissing in the rain thing to be too cliche," Fitch shrugged before continuing, his gaze returning to the girl sitting across from him, "It's too fairy-tale. I find kissing under a tree at night much more romantic." Sure, Fitch had never fallen in love before, and to be honest, at this point in his life he doubted he ever would, but he had his ideas about of love and what it felt like.
He cupped the coffee in both of his hands, crossing one hand over the other, on the verge of shivering, "I think I'd be much happier at the moment if rain didn't exist," Fitch nodded to himself, using his pointer finger to pull away some wet tresses of hair from his face, "Gay rain..." the male muttered to himself.
Taking another warm sip of his coffee, Fitch let out a slight sigh, already pretty annoyed with how today was going, so far, "Let me guess. You were shopping," The boy winged it, even without looking around to see if the girl had any shopping bags... I mean... it was pretty obvious... Another sip was taken. And then another, "...This tastes horrible," After taking, yet another, sip, the male wrinkled his nose, disapproving whatever the teenage twat had put in his coffee. She probably spit in it, or something.
((Sorry. Crap. xD.))

"Yes, I was shopping," Ainslie laughed, looking over to her many shopping bags. She was always shopping on weekends. Queen Street was like her second home. She took yet another small sip of her cappuccino and sighed. Ainslie hated it when people could predict what she had been doing, like her life was some clich้ book that everyone and their brother had read. Sometimes, the teen wished she was less predictable and more.. spontaneous. She took a mental note of that as she gazed out the window before looking back to Fitch.
"You know, you surprise me more and more every time you open your mouth. Some days you're all perverted and such like everyone expects and then you go and say something romantic like that." Ainslie looked into his eyes, incredulously. She'd really never heard him say anything remotely romantic... And now that comment about kissing under a tree? She kind of... wished she could kiss someone under a tree... In the rain... "I do agree with you on that one, though. Kissing under a huge tree in the middle of the night with the bright stars above you does sound awfully romantic." She sighed and returned her gazed to the window, watching the rain beating down on anything and everything that was left outside. Ahh.. Rain.
(That sucked... Sorry..)

Fitch slowly reached out, once again, picking up the coffee and bringing it to his lips to take another, at least what looked like, undesirable sip of that disgusting coffee that Fitch had deemed disgusting time, and time again... but yet, he still came here every morning. To be honest, the poor boy didn't know why he tortured himself so.
"Yes, I was shopping."
Oh, so Fitch was right, was he? The egotistical boy rose up one arm, sharply bending his wrist so he was dunking an imaginary basketball, "Two points," he said pretty simply, celebrating his right-ness for a few moments, his head only growing by the minute... He was Fitch Garrison, after all, the egotistical bastard of the century, "Do you do anything besides shop?" The boy asked, a small smirk gliding up onto his lips, obviously judging Ainslie, as he did with everyone else.
"You know, you surprise me more and more every time you open your mouth. Some days you're all perverted and such like everyone expects and then you go and say something romantic like that."
"And obviously, you love me either way... because, y'know, I'm just godly either way," There was a certain amount of smugness in Fitch's voice, with some sprinkled sarcasm, making it hard to tell if he was joking or not... "But seriously. Me being perverted is just me joking around... even if it does get me laid, sometimes," the boy held his coffee cup inbetween each of his hands, now deciding to use the liquid to keep warm, which was probably more beneficial than actually drinking it.
"I do agree with you on that one, though. Kissing under a huge tree in the middle of the night with the bright stars above you does sound awfully romantic."
"Anything spontaneous works, too. Like just out of nowhere, BAM. Sex. You didn't even know what hit you," The smirk remained on the boy's now fairly lively face, his expression almost glowing, "Be careful, there might be some spontaneous guys out there, Miss Van Ness. You might want to watch your back... and your front."

I do a lot more than just shopping, Fitchy. You know that." Ainslie gave a small, seductive smile before taking a sip of her cappuccino. For as long as she'd been in the popular clique at Rosedale Heights, Ainslie had known and been good friends with Fitch. He was handsome and attractive, but the untouchable 'it' girl had never really given him a second thought... As in, thinking about being more than just friends with him. But this year was different. She'd been beginning to look at him differently. Was it possible that this queen bee had a crush?
No. It couldn't be. She couldn't have a crush on Fitch.. They were just friends. But she couldn't help but contradict herself when she got that jumpy feeling in her stomach when she thought about kissing his soft lips or holding his hand...
No.. Ains.. No. He's gross.
But you know you want him.. He's so cute...
NO!
Ainslie looked over at Fitch as he made the comment about spontaneous sex. She smiled again, and winked suggestively. "Come on, Fitch.. Who would even dare to try something like that with me? None of them are worthy." It was like music to her ears whenever anyone said something like that. Small comments that just hinted at the fact that she was so damn fine. Or at least, that's how she took it. Honestly, Ainslie Van Ness knew how gorgeous she was. She really did. And she loved using that to her advantage.

"I do a lot more than just shopping, Fitchy. You know that."
"Is it just me, or are you being suggestive?" The boy rolled his shoulders forward so he was leaning over the table, his expression mirroring Ainslie's, yet the seductive tone in his voice much more obvious. Well, Tobin saw everything as being suggestive in one way or another, unless a girl was slapping him across the face for being overly-perverted... as he always was.
Now, although Fitch was extremely attracted to Miss Van Ness, the attraction wasn't quite enough to be be much more than lust or physical attraction, since the boy was far too much in love with himself to be in love with anyone else. It had always been a problem for him, and even he knew it in the way back of his mind. To be perfectly honest, the boy had never been in love with anyone besides his own reflection. And to be even more honest, maybe in the back of his mind, Fitch couldn't help but fantasize about what love felt like...
"Come on, Fitch.. Who would even dare to try something like that with me? None of them are worthy."
The boy rested his chin in his palm, his eyebrows rising slowly, "Way to totally ruin my plan, Ness." Fitch lifted his feet up, placing his wet sneakers on the free booth seat right beside Ainslie to make himself a little more comfortable. "So, who exactly is worthy in this town, anyway? No one?" He raised a single brow, crossing both arms over his chest as he leaned back in his seat, waiting for a reply.
