this forum is the meat of the operation. this includes the rules and plot, as well as the information about the various affiliations. if you want to have any idea of what's going on on this site, then we strongly suggest that you read what's in this forum. but if you don't, cool. that's on you and we totally understand if you don't read it. i mean, everyone does it, regardless of whether or not they get up on their soapbox and announce that they did it. anyway, you'd probably get much more out of the site if you actually understood it, so, er, read this stuff, seriously.

every once in a while, an administrator might come up with something fantastic and just have to let you know about it. or maybe there's some problem with the gender ratios or activity and they need to whip everyone into shape. in either situation, this lovely forum is where they'll post. make sure that you read whatever is in here, be it activity checks or plot updates, so that you know exactly where we're headed with this site.

this, my friends, is the equivalent of the geek squad counter at best buy. if you need help understanding some particular aspect of the site, or if you have a suggestion, feel free to post it here. the administrators are here for you, so take advantage of our presence and get us to do things for you. seriously. that's the reason we took this job. consider it our civil duty, if you want. the trashed thread and if color list are included in this forum.

this forum is not where you post your application. this is only where you can find the canon list, the template, the face claim, and the extra information thread. read through everything pertaining to your character before you apply, making sure that you fully understand them, and then post your application in the submission forum.

this, friends, romans and countrymen, is where your applications go. whether they're incomplete, pending, or denied, they can all be found here. it shouldn't take too long for an administrator to get to your application, so don't pester us about it. not that we'll snap at you or anything if you do, but just try not to. we'll get to it soon enough.

» FIRST FLOOR ««
the majority of the first floor of calvin goddard's house will remain mostly unused during the ball, aside from the entry way and grand staircase, which will likely be occupied by minglers and those waiting for other members of their party. the foyer is elegant, with a massive central staircase and an brilliant hanging chandelier.

the second floor is where the ballroom is located, so this will be the busiest floor by far, though it often goes unused during goddard's regular week. the kitchens, conveniently, are also located on this floor, as well as a series of balconies, most of which are attached to the ballroom.

due to the cold weather, not many will venture outdoors, unless it's to watch the fireworks shot up by the more relaxed neighbors. there's a privacy fence around the dormant gardens, as well as an intricate labyrinth built further back from the house. the patio would be the most ideal place to enjoy the night, though.

the first floor is where most of the partying takes place, it being a residential home. there's a living room, kitchen, everything you'd find at your mom's house. except your mom. if she's here, you have a creepy family.

» THE LOBBY ««
the lobby of the police station is the part that the general public sees the most of. be it merely to pay someone else's bail, or to report a crime, most don't go farther than the marble stairs at the end of the atrium. there are bulletin boards flanking the lobby, featuring pictures of criminals who are considered "armed and dangerous."

» BRIEFING ROOM ««
the briefing room is where police officers meet for their weekly meeting to discuss quotas, case files, and things of that nature. the meeting room is large and stocked with enough chairs and coffee for everyone, though occasionally a few chairs seem to mysteriously disappear and some officers are left standing at the back of the room during the briefing. this is also where press conferences are held.

only a select few of the police force get offices. the rest are confined to their desks, out in open view of everyone else. if you, though, possess a status warranting you an office, feel free to request one from an administrator and we'll consider the request. the chief of police, of course, already has one and it's got a pretty nice view of the city.

the laboratories are where all of the testing goes down, be it on blood spatter or an actual body. the rather geeky squad of forensic scientists lurk here, but don't bother pestering them about evidence. they'll get it to you as soon as it's ready, 'kay? jeez, chill.

the interrogation wing of the police department consists of five twelve by twelve rooms, containing one stainless steel table, two chairs, one two-way mirror, and usually a mobster or two. this is where police and detectives go to conduct or over-view investigations and interrogations of criminal suspects.

» CARDAMONE HEADQUARTERS ««
this is the rather massive home of the cardamones. not only is it where the family lives, but it's where all of the italian mob business goes down. should any big events be happening, such as a party or a wedding, the cops will no doubt drive by and get license plate numbers. the suburban neighbors, though, know to look the other way.

» KILPATRICK HEADQUARTERS ««
this large, but almost modest, home is the residence of the kilpatricks, as well as the headquarters of the irish mob. the place is often rather crowded, as the irish as a community are often incredibly friendly and close-knit. should anything go down here, though, the neighbors never bother to call the police.

» LUNA HEADQUARTERS ««
the luna house is no doubt the loudest of all of the crime syndicate headquarters. this can either be attributed the the natural loudness of the spanish culture, or it can be blamed on the luna brothers, who raise chaos wherever they happen to go. be it the wailing of their grandmother after another of their mortifying pranks, or the sound of friends greeting each other, the luna mansion is never silent.

By:
» MOLTINOVA HEADQUARTERS ««
if the luna household is the loudest, then the moltinova house is its polar opposite. after the death of the former mob boss, the house has become a house of ghosts. should you be inside it, you'd no doubt find it a very frightening place. having been decorated by a very tough man, the house has a very bare, threatening appearance to it.

» FOX HEADQUARTERS ««
the headquarters of the vario is no doubt the most comfortable of the mob headquarters. possessing a unique and smooth sense of style, the house is tailored to the likings of langston fox, the vario mob boss. it's an unwritten law that if you enter the house you show respect to the boss and his belongings. so don't just wander in because you think you have the right to.

» XIAO HEADQUARTERS ««
decorated to maintain the traditional chinese decor, the xiao house is reminiscent of the homeland of its occupants. being a naturally quieter race (with the obvious exception of a certain xiao son), this house isn't nearly as explosive as the luna home, though it doesn't compare to the silence of the moltinovas.
