the majority of the first floor of calvin goddard's house will remain mostly unused during the ball, aside from the entry way and grand staircase, which will likely be occupied by minglers and those waiting for other members of their party. the foyer is elegant, with a massive central staircase and an brilliant hanging chandelier.

the second floor is where the ballroom is located, so this will be the busiest floor by far, though it often goes unused during goddard's regular week. the kitchens, conveniently, are also located on this floor, as well as a series of balconies, most of which are attached to the ballroom.

due to the cold weather, not many will venture outdoors, unless it's to watch the fireworks shot up by the more relaxed neighbors. there's a privacy fence around the dormant gardens, as well as an intricate labyrinth built further back from the house. the patio would be the most ideal place to enjoy the night, though.

the lobby of the police station is the part that the general public sees the most of. be it merely to pay someone else's bail, or to report a crime, most don't go farther than the marble stairs at the end of the atrium. there are bulletin boards flanking the lobby, featuring pictures of criminals who are considered "armed and dangerous."

the briefing room is where police officers meet for their weekly meeting to discuss quotas, case files, and things of that nature. the meeting room is large and stocked with enough chairs and coffee for everyone, though occasionally a few chairs seem to mysteriously disappear and some officers are left standing at the back of the room during the briefing. this is also where press conferences are held.

only a select few of the police force get offices. the rest are confined to their desks, out in open view of everyone else. if you, though, possess a status warranting you an office, feel free to request one from an administrator and we'll consider the request. the chief of police, of course, already has one and it's got a pretty nice view of the city.

decorated to maintain the traditional chinese decor, the xiao house is reminiscent of the homeland of its occupants. being a naturally quieter race (with the obvious exception of a certain xiao son), this house isn't nearly as explosive as the luna home, though it doesn't compare to the silence of the moltinovas.
