THE APPEARANCE
Character Face: William Mosely
Description: Ed‘s most recognisable features would have to be his piercing blue eyes and dirty blonde hair. As child his hair was much more of a bleach blonde colour and he‘d frequently spike it on end, but now Ed prefers to just keep it long and shaggy and becomes annoyed quite easily whenever his mother insists on a hair cut, which he always responds to the same answer; no, nope, never. Towering at around 6‘1“ and weighing about 150 lbs, which just so happens to be mainly muscle, Ed has quite an athletic physic that actually doesn‘t take him much to maintain. With his rather active lifestyle you can probably imagine that his skin is continuously exposed to the sun, so it seems he has developed a slight tan, that he manages to sport throughout the year. Ed‘s favourite features about himself are probably his smile; perfectly straight teeth without the help of magic to correct them, and his forearms, he knows this is pretty peculiar, but the only reason he likes them is because of the veins in his arms that become more prominent whenever he does any type of lifting. His least favourite feature is probably his eyes, not that he hates the colour but more how they reveal too much emotion. Ed’s mother has often said they are the gate way to his soul and she can immediately tell when he’s lying just by looking him in the eye.
Surprisingly for his attire Edward prefers to look smart rather than comfortable, but he feels both in a good suit and leather shoes, that’s why he likes the school uniform so much. But he usually opts for the t-shirt and jeans option for his active weekends.

THE PERSONALITY

The Good: Edward is an ambitious young man, he doesn’t give up and when he sets his mind on something he will do everything in his power to achieve it. His excelled talents at self-defence in magic has also reflected in his power to protect himself from others, which came in handy when he was bullied in his first year. Seeming like the all round nice guy, Edward doesn’t disappoint, he is well mannered and polite, traits only really seen in a Gryffindor, but these traits are deceiving, they don’t exactly show the real Edward. His competitive nature adds to his active way of life, he loves Quidditch and when he started at Hogwarts he knew that being on the Quidditch team was something he’d strive to achieve, and he reached his goal in his second year.
The Bad: Now like I said his polite, well mannered fashion is deceiving, which it is. Edward realised how much of a thrill he gained from breaking rules shortly after gaining a position on the Slytherin Quidditch team. He snuck out, past curfew, and broke into the Gryffindor common room, and filled it with green fluorescent sludge, still to this day no ones who the perpetrator was. Edward gets a certain rush from his cunning and sly ways, which no one really expects from him, his mischievous mind has gotten him into trouble on numerous occasions during his period at Hogwarts, but it seems over the past year he has calmed down and grown up a little, but plans to take his scheming mind into later life. Edward can also lose his temper pretty easily; his favourite team loses the Quidditch world cup you better keep all glass objects out of his reach, and he isn’t afraid of throwing a punch or two, sometimes when its not really necessary.

THE HISTORY
Place of Birth: England
History: Edward was the first of three children to be born to Elijah and Prague Yaxley. Ed was born on the 2nd of May 2281, and immediately showed great amounts of high achievement. He showed his magical skills at an early age and developed far quicker than any other boy his age. He began walking at six months, to his parents astonishment, and could have rather lengthy conversations by the time he turned two. In the same year of his second birthday the Yaxley’s were graced with a baby girl, and now Ed finally had someone to play with. As him and his sister grew it was common to find the two roaming around the forest grounds late at night. When Ed turned six he received his first broom stick from his father, after becoming less attached to his sister, after the birth of Kyra, he had now finally found something to past the time. His father noticed real promise in his sons flying abilities and began frequently taking him to Quidditch matches. Being the only boy Ed received rather special treatment from his father; on their outings to Diagon Alley, Elijah would spend far more on his son then his daughters, he would spend hours playing with Ed at weekends while Prague, Crimson and Kyra did girly things together and Ed didn’t seem to mind the extra attention.
Now the seventeen year old Slytherin is in his seventh year, and after six rather rebellious years at school it seems he has calmed down slightly and is willing to take his school work a lot more seriously, and has even set himself a few life goals to which he hopes to achieve. But they say once a rule breaker always a rule breaker, can Ed break this notion or will he fall back into his old ways.

Prized Possessions: The silver ring his parents gave him on his first day of Hogwarts. They were confident he would be housed into Slytherin so they purchased him this rather special ring. It’s a single silver band - that can magically adjust to fit any sized finger - with his name carved, in Latin, into the silver. The lettering is then filled with liquid emerald that sparkles in the changing light
Other: Ed also has a silver harmonica which he rarely ever walks around without. The silver instrument was given to him on his eighth birthday

THE RP SAMPLE

Edward stood in the changing rooms. His stomach fluttered with a thousand butterflies as he tried preparing himself for what was about to happen. In just a few minutes he would be participating in the biggest Quidditch match of his life, so far, the match would determine which house will receive the Quidditch cup - Slytherin or Gryffindor. As he adjusted the pads which donned his arms, and straightened the robes which he wore, the obvious shades of green and silver reflecting his beloved team, Edward began to pace around the room. Constantly checking the time; one minute to go, forty five seconds to go, thirty seconds to go, fifteen. And then, the referee entered blowing his whistle to signal for the players to begin entering the field.

The screams and cheers from various houses were being drowned out by the loud drum of his heart beat. His butterflies still hadn’t surrendered, if anything they’d multiplied. The familiar shades of their rival team - red and gold - could be seen in the distance, but Ed’s nerves were far too great for him to feel any hatred for the Gryffindors. The players took their positions, Ed swallowed hard trying to rid the dry feeling he felt in his mouth. He climbed onto his broom, which he’d only remembered due to his team mates, and flew forty feet into the air. Nerves still ricocheting through out his torso as he awaited for the whistle to blow.
