Sorry, i forgot to mention that the M16A2 is a pretty good weapon as long as you know how to work and clean it, sorry

The m82 is a 33 pound, 5.5 foot gun that uses .50 cal rounds. It is also not for dirty work and costs thousands of dollars. Not a good gun to use in this game.

that is true useless for in combat only usefull for ranged attacks since its heavy it will be useless if using in normal combat unless if jaz get lucky
my advice is simpe LIGHTER GUNS |

I think that the best weapons are assault rifles on Semi mode,
because you don't have to reload that often or pull any bolts, but they are still less durable than bolt action rifles. I too have read the ENTIRE Zombie Survival Handbook (Now If only I could buy it....LOL.) And If you were going to use any kind of sniper rifle (Which you should only use if you are heavily barricaded off from zombies, Or are extremely far away and have other people covering you. I would reccomend Scoped hunting rifles or bolt actions, Barretts are a hulking bulky piece of overkill in a handy "Make you die" package. |

The MP5 may be a cool gun, but it is not a good gun to choose for any zombie situation. It uses small ammo with little to no stopping power, is very loud and can't be silenced, goes through ammo like no ones business, and has bad accuracy. Also, it is light, needs frequent cleaning, and is fragile.
The reason why an MP5 is sought-after is because of its effectiveness in conventional warfare. It puts up a veritable wall of small rounds that can suppress any unit of non-suicidal soldiers. It is also fairly compact. NEITHER of those are necessary in a zombie-infested world. You want a night, solid weapon capable of knocking down zombie hundreds of yards away and keeping them down the first time they are hit. -------------------- "We do not know what our chances of survival are, so we fight as if they were zero. what about things "gun like" ?
i was hoping to have my guy using a harpoon gun, he and his wife liked to scooba. can i use that as a gun? or home made guns? i made a potato gun this summer it works too, and trust me potatos hurt.BAD! so if we find the things we need to make something like that can we? its not like we would fire potatos at the zombies, it would be more for things like empty tin cans melted down into shrapnle and fired into a be crowed of the undead. like a realy BIG shotgun. ( used only as a last resort) -------------------- "On second thought lets not go to camelot, for it is a silly place."

Bolt Action Rifle like the M77 Ruger. Because you can carry a clip of ten shots but, It can also be used as a single shot which helps to conserve ammo, and its kickass accurate with deadly range and stopping power.

the best gun in a zombie survial situation would be somthing multi-purpose gun
my personal favorite: OLCW w/ M209 round attament. Scope is 10x magnification. It use medium sized rounds (.339-.45 caliber i think), You can carry up to 5 M209 rounds on you ( useful for groups of zombies), scope them far away (up to 75-100 yards), and go semi-auto up close. The only problem would be getting ahold of it, as it si a military-style weapon. if u guys/gals have any good suggestions on how to get ahold of it pm me. -------------------- I was left for dead,

Ok Agent Hunk MP5 isnt a "navy gun" its a SMG, and isnt exclusive to the navy since SWAT and other groups around the world use it. Murgoth the MP5 can be silenced by using a silencer. AK isnt good, not very powerful because of a lower velocity even though it fires a bigger bullet, look it up on youtube shows good videos, and the reliability isnt even worth using it, M16s arent military only it depends on the license you own since at certain famous gunshows people have flamethrowers and machineguns to show off. People can buy there own outdated tanks to fix them up also. And every rifle requires you to sight in your sights and long range targets, not just M16. Recommended gun is a normal handgun lying around the house (cant be specific since people own diffierant handguns). M4A1 is a good weopan to, but isnt very powerful, but has an adjustable stock with the same attachment capabilities as the newer M16 models. The assualt rifles arent less durable then bolt action rifles, it depends on the weapon. Bolt actions dont neccesarily mean deadly accurate either, depends if you can shoot, most of probably dont know the factors that come into play when shooting long distance.
