Well.
I happened to be watching a brother of mine play Twilight Princess the other day... and we came across that one side activity where you race down a river in a canoe, shooting pots with bomb-arrows to get a bigger bomb bag. Well, we just happened to notice the Zora that swims alongside you on that little trek, and my sister popped the question: "Is that a female?"
We stood quite a while trying to figure it out (obviously, one area in particular wasn't... obvious), so we went to Zora's Domain and triest o figure it out there. No luck. Seriously, we had the hardest time trying to figure it out.

So, I MUST ask, for the sake of my perplexity: just how do you tell if a Zora is male or female? Are all the guards male? I could've sworn I saw a female one once...

I think I found a way to figure it out once, but that was like 3 months ago and I don't remember. I think it has something to do with their head.

Er... wow. I'm really not sure how you tell. I'm pretty sure it's something to do with their facial features though, I'm not sure.

Wow, um, that's an... odd question. I thought there was a head shape or something like that... Or maybe the placement of the eyes on the side of the head? I forget. It also may have something to do with the uh... Eh-hem... Chest area. I'm not entirely sure though, considering I don't have Twilight Princess atm. However, you could always get a screenshot of Princess Ruto from OoT and the Prince from TP and try to compare. And the Wiki's are infinate knowledge as usual, so it's nice to check there. I'm going to go research it, I'll tell you if I am enlightened.

Looks like you have a new "Long Post" person to deal with eh Kenpari? tongue.gif

@all, yes, I figured it MIGHT have something to do with their faces... but even then, I'm still having trouble with 'em. tongue.gif

Trust me, CptSpudMcTater, we tried checking the chest area (as blink.gif as that may sound), but even THAT wasn't enough to tip us off... Heh.
Also, I tried comparing Ruto to them, but being the graphics are so vastly different (and being they're not modeled exactly the same), it's still difficult to differentiate. I even tried Queen Rutela, but of course given she's QUEEN and a she... her chest is a bit bigger than the rest of them... so it doesn't help much. :<

Yes, yes, but I'm talking about TWILIGHT PRINCESS... In Ocarina of Time, it's fairly obvious (and being Princess Ruto's a lead Zora figure, well, she'd obviously have a bigger pair than the rest of them tongue.gif )... but how can you tell with the game models in Twilight Princess?

I've been hearing a lot of talk on checking various areas on the body that have marks the others don't, such as the face or arms... but... @_@

^ Y'know, I could have sworn that I saw a female Zora in TP. I thought that the one leading you down the river was female, for some odd reason.

Upon further investigation, I believe she is. The gender was only noted by the fishing woman's sister, the one who runs the boat game place next to that Zora.

So yeah. I'm still completely in the blue on this one. 0_0
