Iniu looked up and said "A new place would be better, but that's not my decision."

"Well, the Plateu has no trees on it, and is only best when one is watching for his enemy or seeking a place to run. Red Creek is better for game and shelter purposes. Red Creek it shall be." He said, making the desision final, he nodded his head. "For now we will stay here. We'll move to Red Creek either today or tongiht. Depends of diffrent things." He smiled to Kiana and the rest. Yes...Iniu the tracker. Wonderful! She will track much game for the pack, she will. He smiled to himself.Slaton, very wise with his years, and a freind to myself, the Alpha. Trustworthy? So it seems.Kiana, so sweet. Very well hunter. Beautiful.Calm,helpful. Respectful.

Red Creek sounded good to Kiana. She nodded to her alpha and laid down, waiting for her next directions. She placed her paws over her snout and sighed. Everything was how she always wanted it. No little sister to always be behind her back. No older brother always teasing her and who now never spares a chance to visit her. And her parents... Where were they? She shrugged. Maybe being in a pack would be better for her. She could now prover her loyalties and hunt for her own pack and serve her alpha as much as possible. She smiled. Maybe this was the life...
Slaton agreed with the alpha, flicking his tail approvingly. A nice place where game is abundant. Perhaps gaining more member sin the pack... His mating years were long gone now but every pup needed a grandpa, biological or not. He grinned and wagged his tail. |

Iniu nodded her agreement. The idea of a lot of game thrilled her. She practically lived for tracking and hunting.

Kiana howled happily and tramped after him. The pack had come to decent decision. She took her place behind him, leaving a good space for Iniu and Slaton. Her paws padded silently behind her leader. "So, is there a place at Red Creek we can have shelter?" she asked him. The brush nearby swiveled and Kiana pushed closer to Darsk.
Slaton hurried to catch up with him, flicking his tail as he walked. He erected his ears towards the Darsk's and Kiana's conversation. "'Course there would be shelter! Right, Darsk?" he inquired, smiling. |

"Of course. Only the best for my pack. You see, there are one or two dens..." He stopped talking. The dens had been from years before. He forced a smile, and continued. "There is a cave. And then theres the good old covrege of the tick trees. The forest, my freinds, is a wonderful place." He said, with another forced smile.
He noticed Kiana pushed closer, and for that he smiled for real. |

Iniu trotted after them and then slowed to a walk next to Slaton. Her ears would swivel back and forth adjusting to the sounds of the forest. The forest was thick with prey scent, but she didn't bother saying anything.

Even thought she knew that Darsk would chose the best place for the pack, Kiana sighed in relief at his answer. "Oh, yah. Right. Sorry," she said, blushing.
Slaton nodded, showing that he figured his alpha would chose right. He followed in step behind them. He liked the comfort of Iniu beside him for he had never like being last in line or being alone. |
