Well, I think it would be cool to build an Airsoft BB Machine Gun for use on vehicles and mounted in bunkers.

The most promising one is the inline vortex BB Machine Gun design, which basically relies on a giant, fairly wek spring to push BBs into a chamber, as shown in the image below:

This is just a basic concept. A fairly strict regulation of the airflow should keep it at about 50 PSI or less, so as not to make it a bearer of high-speed plastic death.

I suppose the basic concept could also be used to form a .50 BMG or DShK replica for gaming. Mount needed, would make your gunboat or ATV even deadlier to a Wasteland Warrior.

Note the spring in the images, used to push the BBs out. A tub of cheap .12g 6mm rounds would suffice for such a project, though .20g+ 6mm rounds or even 8mm

Or the rarer 11mm

would work also, using the proper holes in the feeding block and properly sized barrels.

Also, I am conceiving a semi-auto Mounted Grenade Launcher running off of a paintball gun system, and launching dozens of BBs in one burst, not unlike the shower grenades that are so popular.

Some more examples of BB Machine Guns:

Ha ha well not really, I have a couple of ideas that may help. The Spuddin site has some info on BBMGs.

It's not too hard really, I bet I could make one fairly easily. It's just controlling the PSI and rate of fire is an issue.

But I have ideas on how to counter that.

Another good site on building one...all you need is an air tank (like for paintball), a connection, a storage for ammo, and a barrel of appropriate length and width.

The hardest part is creating the vortex block for a BB Machine Gun, but I could probably do one fairly easily.

An example:

Well, I figure it would be helpful to have a hop-up unit of sorts in the thing...so I'm probably going to use M249 hop-up units in it in order to have any 6mm machine gun created be able to have to range of an AEG. Not sure where I might find ones for 8mm or above though...

It may work well on a CO2 powered PKM or whatever in 6mm. But I want to make an 8mm version of the mounted stuff.
