The town was little more than a few shops and a schoolhouse along Main street, sitting in the shadow of the Rockies. Besides the occasional traveling salesman, and the even rarer scuffle with the tribes farther out west, this town didn't see many visitors.

That suited the sheriff just fine. She strode out into the street, adjusting her newly polished badge as she went. As the sheriff, she liked the town just as it was: nice and quiet. But that was about to change.

"Mornin' Sheriff Trudi," a passerby greeted.
"Howdy Mayor Johnson," Sheriff Trudi replied. "I hear we have some fresh meat, ahem, freshmen coming into town today. Looks like we'll be pretty busy whipping them into shape." There was a twinkle in her eye, as if there was nothing she liked better than whipping newcomers into shape.
Mayor Johnson couldn't agree more. "My favorite time of year," he said, grinning broadly. "I can't wait to get started. In fact, here they come now."

As the two watched, a caravan of wagons came down Main street, raising a cloud of dust behind them. Everywhere along the street, townspeople stopped what they were doing to check out the visitors. This only happens once a year, after all. From his perch on a second story windowsill, a savage looking character thought to himself, Finally, some fresh minds to corrupt. His long nails glinted menacingly in the sunlight.

As for the newcomers themselves, they looked around them in wonder at this shitty new place they would call home. The wagons came to a stop in front of the saloon, and the youngsters began piling out. "Welcome!" the Mayor called out. "You must be tired from your travels. Let me know if you need help settling in." The townspeople crowded around the wagons to meet these exciting new faces.
One of the newcomers stepped through the throng of people to speak to the Mayor. Taking off his hat, he asked, "Actually, is the doctor available? One of our friends is terribly injured; he was attacked by a beast on the way here."

The people parted as Mayor Johnson made his way to a wagon in the back. There, in the shade of the canopy, lay a person convulsing in pain. An open gash ran the length of this person's face, from the corner of the eye to the chin, still fresh with blood. Their clothes were torn from shoulder to hip; scratches marred the body. The mayor looked more closely and noticed a strange pattern on the injured person's shoulder. They were bite marks! All of a sudden, the injured person's eyes snapped open, glowing yellow in the dim light. It bared its fangs, and with a snarl, leaped into the mass of townspeople gathered around the wagon. Its claws cut through human flesh like it was nothing; its teeth were meant to crush bone. The townspeople screamed and tried to fight it off, but to no avail - the monster's supernatural speed and strength spelled certain doom for anyone within its reach.

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out. The monster stopped in its tracks and fell to the ground, dead. Pistol still smoking, Sheriff Trudi thought to herself, [i]Good thing I had that silver bullet[i]. The townspeople were still frozen with fear, realizing just how close they had been to dying. One of them cried out, "What the **** was that thing?!" Trudi turned to him and calmly replied, "That, my dear, was a werewolf."

DUN DUN DUN

"Good thing there was only one of them," Sheriff Trudi continued, "That was my last silver bullet." The others nodded in agreement, relieved that this ordeal was over. Or so they thought. They spent the rest of the day cleaning up the mess left behind by the werewolf and trying to return to their normal lives. A few, however, were careful to subtly roll down their sleeves or adjust their collars to hide the fact that they had not gone through the day's fight unscathed. Far from it - they were marked forever by the lycan. The sun would soon set, and the wolves would soon be making a reappearance...

Introducing...

WEREWOLF 14: Return of the Lycan

****, it's about time.

Signups start NOW

Just post here that you want to play. New players are encouraged to join - This means you, fresh meat!
Signups close in a few days or when I deem there are enough people.

New to werewolf?

Rules and explanation can be found here.
To see what it's like, you can look at past games here. I'd recommend Ep.1.

Roles will be set and explained once players are finalized.

All characters appearing in this and future stories are fictional. Any resemblance to real persons, living, dead, or werewolf, intentional or unintentional, is purely coincidental.

i feel like ep 13 was the most well written of the werewolf episodes

also i'd like to say my werewolf pride and prejudice was totally the predecessor of pride and prejudice and zombies, and/or all those other recent spinoffs. you heard it from me first, folks.

(and by werewolf i mean mafia, but you get what i mean)
