It is 1:45 Saturday night/Sunday morning and I am writing on this forum.
**** YES I AM I'm doing a bunch of improv theater down here in Florida. I'm not gonna brag or anything but we're pretty much the ****. A group of seniors are trying to set it up so that when they graduate they'll be starting their own troupe in Chicago-if nothing changes in the next year and a half I may end up joining them when I graduate next year. I'll be putting my psychology degree to great use! I'm also doing a bunch of other theater stuff-I'll be the assistant stage manager for Cabaret and auditioning next semester. I'm also took my first voice lesson last week and it was funny trying to explain to my voice instructor that I really didn't know how to sing. At all. In any way shape or form. Seriously. I can not identify notes by ear. But no, no I am not retarded. Uhhh, what else. My dad recently joined the ranks of the unemployed so I spent the summer helping him out with his start-up business before taking a quick vacation to New York where I jumped out of a plane (attached to a man who was attached to a parachute of course). I've got a sweet apartment on a lake right next to Rollins with three cool dudes, school's great, I love college life, the last harry potter movie sucked, and that's all I've got for now! -------------------- --)----------

And you watched it a second time why?
Speaking of movies, I saw Inglorious Basterds yesterday. Apparently everyone really likes it, but I didn't for some reason. Maybe because I was looking for something more than just random people killing nazis? -------------------- "If Adam and Eve were Chinese we would still be in Paradise because they would have ignored the apple and eaten the snake."--Werner Hornung

Basterds was such a Tarintino movie, though, haha. All it was missing was Sam L Jackson

I saw it twice because I'm the kind of person who wastes their time and money just to hang out.

First time was for myself, in Taiwan with some classmates. Second time was after I got back, with Yujie and Brittany. Yujie ruins movies, but as I'd already seen it, that made it more entertaining.

Just felt like sharing. Feel free to ignore.
JHU Travel Saga As some of you may know, I'm (sort of) on Harvard's parliamentary debate team. I haven't debated for about a year and a half, but I figured I'd try to get back into it this year this weekend, at Johns Hopkins. Also, Raj (Westview class of 07) goes to Hopkins so I wanted to visit. Mariko also happens to be in DC, which is very close by. This is why I went to Baltimore this past weekend. Due to logistics, I ended up traveling separately from the rest of my team. Friday morning. I tried to check in to my flight online but it wouldn't let me. I was already running behind and this didn't help. I got to the airport about 30 minutes before my flight, and I still had to check in. Which didn't work there either. It turns out that my flight was canceled. So they put me on another flight which is half an hour later, but I have to transfer through LGA (new york). This is totally fine, so I grab some food from McDonald's and chill at my gate. Someone mentions something about weather in NY, and my flight is delayed half an hour. I only have 30 minutes to transfer in LGA. Not good. Then my flight gets delayed another half an hour. I go talk to the nice lady at the boarding gate about my problem and she gives me some good news: my connecting flight is delayed too! It's supposed to get in at 4 to Baltimore. Round 1 starts at 4:30. My partner would probably kill me. So I ask nicely if there's any alternative. End result: I sprint across the terminal and barely make it on a direct flight to Reagan airport in DC. The lady at the gate literally said, "just get on and take an open seat" and shut the door behind me. I realize at this point that if the plane crashes no one would know I was on board. The rest actually went surprisingly smoothly, despite me being on a flight to the wrong city. I meet up with Mariko in DC and we take a train to Baltimore's train station, where I run into the rest of my team. The tournament itself wasn't that eventful. We had some fun rounds, with topics like "Should the US replace its entire army with robots" and "Assuming Jesus was not the son of God, should he pretend he is anyway and teach Christianity". On Saturday Raj showed us around Baltimore and we didn't get shot. On Sunday Mariko and I went around DC and saw the sights. And ate a lot of chili cheese fries. My flight out was early Monday morning. Sunday night at Raj's apartment, I tried to check in for my flight. It wouldn't let me. Not again[i]. I look over the info: confirmation code, definitely right. Departure city: Baltimore, check. I look at my itinerary. Confirmation code, same. I'm afraid the flight got canceled again, so I check the flight status for my flight. Yeah, on time for 6:50 from Boston to Baltimore. [i]... WAIT. CRAP. When I booked my tickets I realized that booking two one way tickets was slightly cheaper than round trip. Now I just felt like an idiot. Anyhow, after a few frantic phone calls things got sorted out, albeit my wallet was much lighter. The plan was to take public transport to the airport (basically a train), as the Baltimore airport is a bit outside of the city. The next morning, I got to the station right as the train was boarding and made it on with minutes to spare. This was at 5:15. My flight was at 6:30, the trip to the airport takes about half an hour. So far so good. When I got to the airport stop, I was ready to breeze through security and get back to Boston. Then I looked around and realized I was in the middle of nowhere. 40 minutes til my flight. The airport train stop is actually an isolated spot a ways from the airport. Fortunately, I caught a shuttle to the airport from there and got to the terminal with 30 minutes left. Security was packed; after getting through I didn't even bother to put my belt back on and just ran to my boarding gate. I think I was the second to last person on that plane. I got back to Boston a little before 8, and had enough time to grab breakfast and head to my first class of the day. This is why college rocks. -------------------- "If Adam and Eve were Chinese we would still be in Paradise because they would have ignored the apple and eaten the snake."--Werner Hornung

Sitting in my dorm room. I have a disgusting C program to finish. Biopsych midterm on Monday. Java project due soon. Plus I have a lingering pain in my right knee due to a recent injury. Listening to jazz. Girls coming later. I have no files for debate, and Vermont is next weekend. I need more dress shirts. -------------------- Where the **** is Jeff Tan?!

Sitting in a cubicle at work. I have macaroni and cheese. Plus I have to transcribe a speech. Which isn't very fun. Actually, it sucks. Listening to silence. Girls...are really weird? I have no non-dress shoes, and my birthday is next weekend. I need more time to be in Connecticut. or Massachusetts. or Portland. or outside of the office. Ferris still sucks at telling stories. -------------------- ------------

Worth reading if you're depressed and/or considering suicide.
Not nearly as entertaining as other sites. -------------------- "If Adam and Eve were Chinese we would still be in Paradise because they would have ignored the apple and eaten the snake."--Werner Hornung
